I'm going to be away all weekend for my anniversary but at this point I'm almost more excited for getting home on Monday and reliving this thread/listening to the music on iplayer. I loved following the one hit wonders and this is going to be even better because most songs are going to have retained their familiarity.

Yeah its good to re-live the moments and hope you enjoy your anniversary biggrin.gif

I will take 2pm-3pm magic.gif

Hey Breton,

Thats fine magic.gif
QUOTE(Dobbo @ Jun 27 2015, 05:25 PM) *
Sounds fun! Although 3 hours to play 20 songs means there's surely gonna be plenty of filler :/

I'll be absent for most of the show I'm afraid but am willing to take the final 3pm-4pm slot smile.gif

Hey Dobbo, the final slot is fine will put both of you in now smile.gif

Surely they aren't going to play the full top 20's from each year in those 3 hour slots? Won't have enough time for that.

If anything I think this what they'll do

Play 3-5 tracks from 20-11 then play the top 10's from 2005-2014. So that's about 44/45 tracks out of the total of 60 songs combined from the 3 grouped years!
Although they are doing 4 top 20's to begin with so that's probably 2-3 tracks then.

I'll volunteer for 7 AM! It'll be my first time helping with one of these, finally.

Like Chez said I think they'll combine the bestsellers for the years in each group. That seems like a good idea to me actually, it's easy enough to find the year-end lists for each year but at least this way there's SOME element of surprise. Either way, Radio 1 is usually good with these countdowns/specials so I have hope that they won't disappoint. biggrin.gif

I'll tell you if I can't do it anyway

Each hour is the top 20 of a year, so I guess they'll cut down or skip songs they don't want to play.

I will be very annoyed if they skip Madonna in the 2 years she had massive hits but knowing R1 it seems likely sleep.gif

I was hoping it would be the best songs released in those years (updated totals), rather than just the year end chart
