BuzzJack Music Forum _ Sports and Fitness _ Winter Transfer Thread 2017

Posted by: JingleBellsMack 19th December 2016, 03:37 PM

With the transfer window set to open in a couple of week's time.

I thought that I might start as well start this thread.

Where do you think the biggest moves are going be?

A thread here to post any transfers or rumours and discussion on who will go where.

Expect the Chinese Super League to be involved in the transfer window.

Oscar is supposedly already a done deal to Shanghai for £60m and an insane amount of money per week in wages.

Posted by: JingleBellsMack 19th December 2016, 03:49 PM

Apparently Carlos Tevez done a deal to Shanghai with a £615,000 per-week two-year deal.

That is over the majority of some English football clubs wage budget per week. That is a disgusting amount of money to pay a player per week.

Posted by: Silas 19th December 2016, 05:53 PM

Especially for Tevez. Traitorous cuntrag

Posted by: WiseManFromLeeds 20th December 2016, 11:17 AM

That amount of money is atrocious.

Posted by: Rooney 21st December 2016, 05:59 PM

The China thing is fast becoming ridiculous. The thing is it has a massive knock-on effect here as it effectively balances the books for a load of clubs. It's a bit of a gimmick though, can't understand why players like Oscar/Texeria are going there. Guess we'll see in a couple of years whether the government manages to help Chinese football..

I think there will be a fair bit of movement this winter transfer window, unlike the last couple of seasons! Can see Liverpool, Spurs, Man Utd all spending money.

Posted by: Silas 21st December 2016, 06:34 PM

I don't get it. The league isn't competitive at all and the environmental conditions in China are f***ing awful. It's driven purely by the wages they're offering. And that to me raises questions of the kind of player you're getting. Anyone who cares about being the best they can be and improving and developing will stay in Europe and the best leagues.

Not surprised it's one of the Chelsea players who stopped performing last year that's going. I'd have sacked him personally.

Posted by: WiseManFromLeeds 21st December 2016, 07:17 PM

Didn't Drogba & Anelka go from Chelsea to Shanghai a few years ago?

They probably won't stay there for long anyway - they'll just get some quick cash and leave again most probably.

Posted by: JingleBellsMack 23rd December 2016, 12:49 PM

If China had all that money they could develop the national team.

In other news

West Brom have bid £13m for Schneiderlin.

Posted by: Silas 23rd December 2016, 03:13 PM

Schneiderlin will be departing. Jose confirmed he'd asked to leave.

Everton are also interested.

Klopp denied it. Sounds like agent talk to me.

Tevez has been officially announced.

I would have taken him no bother, good player!

Posted by: JingleBellsMack 30th December 2016, 12:50 PM

Cristiano Ronaldo was offered a £250m move to China- He rejected it.

Posted by: Silas 30th December 2016, 01:37 PM

Pay was €100m a year!!!

Posted by: Mack 4th January 2017, 01:13 PM

Middlesbrough sign Rudy Gestede from Aston Villa.

Julian Draxter moves to PSG for about £40m.

Posted by: SePetember Song 4th January 2017, 07:26 PM

Draxler is a good signing for them imo, great to see him advancing.

Posted by: Mack 5th January 2017, 01:04 PM

Arsenal have signed Cohen Bramall from..... Hednesford Town for £40,000.

Posted by: Mack 6th January 2017, 08:44 AM

Lookman to Everton from Charlton for £10m.
Wilfred Ndidi to Leicester City from Genk for £15m

Posted by: Mack 10th January 2017, 08:42 AM

Rumours of Fernando Llorente moving to Chelsea really?

Posted by: Houdini 10th January 2017, 10:35 PM

Manchester United have agreed to sell Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton for £22m. It's quite a shame but he's hardly played for Man United this season so it's not a huge surprise.

Posted by: ML Hammer95 12th January 2017, 01:19 PM

Payet puts in transfer request at West Ham... sad.gif

Posted by: Mack 12th January 2017, 01:22 PM

I heard about that, can't see where he'll go probably to China.

Posted by: Silas 12th January 2017, 06:52 PM

Sad to lose Schneiderlin. I really liked him, shame it didn't work out.

Hardcore LOLing over Payet. What a little twat he is. Totally behind Bilic on the way he's handled it. Payet is damaged goods now, can't see an English club touching him. For some reason we're second favourites to buy him but I can't see why. He wouldn't fit into our team, nor is he good enough to.

Posted by: Mack 13th January 2017, 01:06 PM

Hull City sign Niasse on loan until the end of the season from Everton and they also signed Evandro for a unknown fee.

Posted by: Soy Adrián 13th January 2017, 01:27 PM

Payet knows he's good enough to at least be a squad option in any team in the league, but I doubt anyone will go much over the £19 million that Marseille have supposedly offered to buy him back. He wants Champions League football rather than just money so I can't see him wanting to go to China. Painted himself into a corner now though, could have got his head down for the rest of the season and engineered a move in the summer.

Posted by: Houdini 18th January 2017, 08:03 PM

Manchester United have agreed a deal with Lyon to sell Memphis Depay for worth between 16-21 million pounds. It's not a surprise as he hardly plays in the first team but I wish him well.

Posted by: Silas 20th January 2017, 10:45 AM

United have both sell on and buy back clauses in the sale agreement apparently. Clearly insuring against him rediscovering his form

Posted by: Soy Adrián 20th January 2017, 11:45 AM

Hull have for some reason sold Jake Livermore to West Brom for around £10 million.

Posted by: Silas 20th January 2017, 11:52 AM

£££

They're going down for sure now. Livermore was one of their two really very good players. Guessing if right bid came in Snodgrass would be off too

Posted by: Silas 20th January 2017, 09:00 PM

Fonte to West Ham for £8m.

Smart by Southampton. He was coming to end of contract so some cash is better than leaving on a free

Posted by: Mack 24th January 2017, 01:08 PM

Lescott to Sunderland on a short-term contact.

Markovic to Hull on loan until the end of the season via Sporting Lisbon (Still at Liverpool)

Posted by: Mack 25th January 2017, 01:08 PM

Burnley have £10m bid for Snodgrass accepted.

Is there anyone you want in the last few days of the transfer window?

Posted by: Steve201 26th January 2017, 11:26 PM

Crystal Palace look favourites to sign Robbie Brady from Norwich - fee of around 9m rising to 12. Palace already got a left back so hopefully he will play in the middle!!

Posted by: Silas 27th January 2017, 01:40 PM

Goss to QPR for an initial £0.5m

Not bad for someone who's never made our first team. £0.3m in add ons and a buy back clause included

Posted by: Mack 27th January 2017, 01:52 PM

Van Aanholt from Sunderland to Crystal Palace potentially for £14m.

Posted by: Mack 27th January 2017, 11:08 PM

Snodgrass to West Ham for £10.2 million from Hull City. Why?

He's a good player, think he will do well at West Ham.

Posted by: Mack 27th January 2017, 11:20 PM

I meant Hull City's vision in selling their star players obviously money.

Posted by: Mack 30th January 2017, 01:05 PM

Marseille have signed Payet for £25m from West Ham.

Posted by: OutstandingMixer 31st January 2017, 05:35 PM

Bristol City have signed Matty Taylor from Bristol Rovers for £300k. biggrin.gif laugh.gif

The last time City signed a Rovers player was in 1987.

Posted by: Oliver 31st January 2017, 05:44 PM

Snodgrass wanted out anyway so we couldn't do anything about it.

For my clubs news it's the MEN. I will never cease to be amazed by their ability to turn a 5 word tweet by united into 30 articles

Yes, it did. laugh.gif

We always do it when we sign a player but I get the feeling it was done tongue in cheek on this occasion. tongue.gif
