I've always really liked him as an actor and found him pretty underrated. I hope he continues to star in more awards friendly pictures as well as blockbusters so he can eventually win one day..

1 Spotlight
2 The Kids Are All Right
3 Foxcatcher

I think he's really good in all of these but this is how I would rank them. He nailed the characteristics of the real reporter in Spotlight though and his 'it could of been you' speech really resonated with me. I think he actually would have been choice for the win that year - way better than Mark Rylance anyway drama.gif
