A shame it couldn’t have been released on the 29th July when Neighbours finale airs as I think the song will see a uplift in downloads and potentially give the song a chance at reaching Top 100 (might have still missed out anyway though). |

Depends how limited edition it is.
To only put it out now for pre release thru must have them already produced. Should be able to get quite a few downloads the week of 5th August Probably 4k of each worldwide? So maybe 1.5k of each sold in UK on that week. Will defo get high in physicals chart, probably downloads too. I ended up ordering the bundle even though I really didn't need this on cassette!  I bought an original 7" last year, although at least this new one differs from that one. 2022 version has the Instrumental, while 1988 had a B Side instead.

Great to see this happening, I'd have loved a cd single as I have the original vinyl that I bought when it was released, I'd love if it could make the top 100, Jason hasn't been in the top 100 singles for around 30 years.

Gah the Kylie fanbase love to complain - I’ve seen more complaints that the original b-side is not included, it’s not a coloured disc, there’s no 12” etc., than I have people being happy about it.
Yes, the could have done more obviously but I’m pleased they are releasing it and that it’s not an identical copy of the original release - I already have the vinyl, cassettes and CDs from the UK and Europe from then so I’m pleased to have something different and the addition of the print. It’s a lovely way to round off the end of Neighbours and Kylie and Jason returning to the show. |

I’m sure availability of the EFY physicals will be better than Kylie’s previous releases - they’ll want to make sure it’s available up until (or at least as close to) the final episode of the show to grab the nostalgia sales.

Ya sales will pick nearer to the episode and when it airs and hopefully it can also get some streams and downloads. Jason could be doing UK interviews etc with him based in London so it's a good time for him to capitalise on it.
