QUOTE KYLIE Minogue is in talks for a £100million residency in Las Vegas, The Sun can reveal.
The Australian superstar, 54, is ready to put pen to paper for a money-spinning 12 week stay - following in the footsteps of Adele. Kylie - who is also playing a lucrative New Year's Eve gig in Dubai next month - visited potential Sin City venues in May. Planet Hollywood and Caesar's Palace are understood to have made offers for the Aussie star, with record label Sony BMG also liaising about potential spin-off deals. Last night a source said: "While Kylie may not have a huge profile Stateside, she is an absolutely massive draw for the Brits. "She has a cult gay following especially, and it's felt she will easily draw in the pink pound. "Kylie visited a few venues in the summer, and numerous meetings have since been held. "It's a no brainer for Kylie - easy money, and no touring. Everyone involved is hugely excited about the prospect." |

This is something i never really expected for Kylie with it not a market she was ever huge in but fair play if she does it.

I wasn't expecting it either, great for her if true but a part of me would be a little saddened at Kylie spending so much time stateside. I like the fact she's always been Europe and Australia based as it's treated us with so many performances and interviews etc.

This is something i never really expected for Kylie with it not a market she was ever huge in but fair play if she does it. Someone on Facebook SH stated that Robbie Williams has never had any hits in the US but he managed to do a residency there. But $100 million sounds a bit too much even for Kylie... how much is Adele getting paid? This post has been edited by Red Blooded Man: 25th November 2022, 10:35 PM |

This would be great for her
I think the $100m is probably what Adele is getting as she is getting $750,000 a show. So they maybe just said that figure for Kylie. Though she can demand big for live shows so you never know !! I think it would be great for her |

Financially it would be great for her but it would limit the work she does in Australia and Europe.

I would love to see it. Just think of all the US press she could get.
She’s probably not going to become a huge singles artist over there. But the exposure could have a great benefit to her streaming and album sales. |

Her greatest hits would probably gain from it which would be good.

Not going to effect her UK promo
Release a single 3 months before album. Release 2nd single just before album, do all promo before hand then 12 week residency with lots of coverage she can use for promo in other parts of world then comeback to Europe and do promo |

If this actually does happen, I'm skeptical about how successful it would be for her.

An unexpected but understandable decision from Kylie if it is true.

As long as she tours in the UK and Europe, I don't care how long she stays in Vegas.

Robbie's run wasn't the most successful - it was just presented so. Kylie is much better known than Robbie in the States, has a cult gay following and a lot of folks also respect her for the dance tunes. Question is - an Adele or Robbie's sound is more suited for a Vegas res versus a dance'y act like Kylie's. And I don't think Americans would be too happy to fork out all the money to hear piano version of Head or guitar'y version of PP.

Yes im with this and i hope she doesnt sideline countries where she has continuous success to focus on America and the Vegas shows as i think long term it may not be the best decision. Her UK career right now is back on levels where it hasnt been for years so i think she needs to acknowledge that and keep the fans happy. |

I can’t see her doing a long stint there tbh - more of a fixed term residency to appeal to the Pink pound.
I’m sure it will be successful, as mentioned she has a cult gay following in the States plus fans will travel over for shows but that cannot be sustained long term. |
