The first season saw pairs of travellers race to reach the Far East without taking a single flight, with no smartphone etc , all they had was the money that the airfare would have cost on the day they set off from Greenwich in London, they actually got a jobs along the way to keep them going cash wise, they had a to race to reach different destinations during the trip & try & avoid being eliminated & sent home , it was really enjoyable

Yes - I do remember it. We saw some of it. happy.gif

Brilliant indeed!

They need to get a move on with the technology of electric cars though. They are still too expensive and don't do enough miles between re-charges. I'd be very happy to get one if they sort this out.

They actually don't have enough charging stations would you believe . I also read that if you have the radio, wipers, & lights on at the same time it drains the battery so you could get stranded somewhere . They have a long way to go yet I think unsure.gif

Although technology can move along pretty fast I think.

Maybe not fast enough though. sleep.gif

Not fast enough I believe, I read recently that they did not have enough charging stations & people were having to queue up to charge their cars which is not very satisfactory ...

Here in the Netherlands we are quite well equipped with charging places. The government supports electric cars and they increase significantly. But we are also a small country where you cannot drive very fast.

Our neighbour who is a taxi driver paid £400 to have one installed at home. He plugs it in each night. It sits there with it's back lights on. cool.gif

His taxi is so quiet. He leaves very early in the morning and used to wake me up but since he got his electric taxi we don't hear him.

We watched yesterdays episode tonight so last one for us tomorrow.

It has more red herrings than an Agatha Christie novel. blink.gif

Sorry I'm late to this.

Yes we did Tess.

I'd never heard of it before. It looked absolutely amazing.

Apparently it used to be snow covered?
