Oh that’s very good news! Her discography certainly deserves to be widely accessible on vinyl. I wonder if they’ll be standard black or if they’ll be available in new colour variants?

I spent a small fortune on getting the Urban Outfitters vinyls No regrets though… I wouldn’t have had the patience to wait for years.

A couple of my Urban Outfitters ones sadly don’t sound very good though… so I may consider buying a couple of the new pressings to see if they’re any better!

Looks like all of them were available at some point or another I think. I thought Urban Outfitters got to a point and stopped aha. But I hope this news is just that it’s going to be easier for those who want to fulfil their collections. The others are so limited and we’re kinda blink and you miss it.

I’ve seen the ‘Britney Jean’ pressing and why does her worst album have the most stunning pressing???? Lmao

I think those colour choices for Blackout and Circus are better than Urban Outfitters! I’m kind of tempted to get them, even though I already have the UO versions

In my opinion most of the new colours suit the artworks nicely. However pale yellow for My Prerogative seemed a bit random to me, while marbled grey for Femme Fatale is a bit dull.

The above colours for Baby One More Time, Britney and In the Zone are similar to the original UO versions. The difference is that UO had the colours swirled with white, whereas these new ones will be solid colours.

The label not using the international artwork for Baby is an oversight imo! It seems to have become very forgotten in favour of making the US version the main version. I get why they used that cover for Urban Outfitters in the US, but using it internationally is a bit of a let down for me. My nostalgia for the album is with it having this cover:

Although I found it strange that the "white swirl" concept was abandoned for the last couple of albums, I think they ultimately looked better without the swirl!

Overall it's a bit of a hotchpotch, but I mostly like them apart from the Blackout and Circus colours.

Urban Outfitters reissued the albums a few times in different variants. There's some that are just clear, and others that are clear with some colour swirls/marbling. For example, the second and third versions of Oops:

I don't have a vinyl player, but I kinda wanna get Brit's albums "just in case" and I think I'll have to look out for these. These look so cool and I definitely think nowadays vinyl is worth it more for the coloured variants you get.

I definitely intend to go with the colour vinyls when they do this. I am with Jay in that I am slightly meh at them using the US cover even for the U.K. release of BOMT. My nostalgia is with the other cover (and I think it looks far nicer than the pink bubblegum pop US version).

Great to see her albums getting a vinyl release, I feel like it's a simple but effective way of putting the focus on the music and give the chance for fans to celebrate an artist's legacy.

Don't think I'll be purchasing them all, but I'm interested in getting 'Blackout', 'Circus' (the two albums I purchased around the time of release so I have most nostalgia for) and the greatest hits.

Looking forward to seeing if these can re-enter the UK album chart! Not really sure what to expect sales wise.

Randomly Baby One More Time and In the Zone have increased to £29.99 on Amazon but the other studio albums are currently £24.44.

I guess it's not surprising that Greatest Hits My Prerogative is doing the best (even though it only covers the first 4 eras). Blackout is leading the way for studio albums *.*

I think it might have been better to release them separately over a longer period as some fans will buy all albums on vinyl but thats not to take away from the fact how great it is that all her albums are getting the vinyl treatment, hopefully some of the albums will return to the chart, id assume her debut will be her most popular.

ITZ is widely considered as her 2nd best album (even the very best by a LOT of people too) and it's home to 2 of her biggest hits, one of which is largely considered her defining hit, so it's really baffling how it's so low down the rankings of her orders! So bizarre. Also, for me, it looks like the best pressing

I got my copy of 'Britney' today!

Well, apart from some very minor changes on the back cover (the fact it states it's printed in Europe, has a different barcode and has the Sony Music logo printed), it is pretty much the exact same as the Urban Outfitters versions, in terms of overall quality. That is to say, slightly on the thin and flimsy side with the outer card sleeve and inner thin paper sleeves... but with above decent reproductions of the photographs used so that it looks good overall (there are considerably worse re-issues out there than the Britney ones, I'll say that!). On 'Britney' they haven't even amended the error on the vinyl's labels - where it says "2001/2009" rather than "2001/2019" (that's another thing, they've not updated the text to say 2023 anywhere on this release). Obviously the actual colour of the vinyl itself are different to the originals, that really is the main difference.

I've seen from 'Baby' and 'Oops' online that they're practically the same as the original releases too. For instance, Baby uses an inner blank/white record sleeve to store the vinyl in and a separate square sheet with printed credits, which is unlike all the other Britney albums where there is a printed sleeve to slot the vinyl into. So the label has kept these specific designs for years [Baby One More Time's first pressing came out in 2017]. I'd wondered whether they'd ever change Baby One More Time's inner design to match how the others are done, but evidently not!

I'd be interested to know why it's taken as long as 2023 for Europe to get these produced. I'm guessing there was some sort of length of time that Urban Outfitters were granted exclusivity and it only recently finished?

I bought Britney because my previous two copies both have problems (original yellow = sounds bad / clear = off centre labels). My new copy isn't perfect either, it's a bit warped, I've got to push the record down rather than it just slotting into place... so that's a bit of a shame, but I played it and overall it sounded good, better than my previous two at least, so I guess I'm satisfied enough to keep it. I'm not sure if it's just the case that I'm continually unlucky with this album or if lots of them end up being warped.

I caved and bought a vinyl player lmao. Just a cheap one, but I couldn't not get SOMETHNG.

My problem now is... I've missed all my favourite Taylor vinyl variants lmao. I'll have Britney's. But I will start getting Taylor and Little Mix at some point, but everything else will have to be either special edition limited releases or really cheap sale ones lol.

I decided to request a replacement copy of 'Britney' from Amazon, and that will be arriving later today. I'm determined to have a copy of this which doesn't have any problems! Fingers crossed for fourth time lucky...

I also bought '...Baby One More Time' and that's coming later too! My 2017 copy of that album is actually pressed off-centre. Somehow that had slipped my mind until I got the album out yesterday and noticed it looking weird when it's spinning on the player. I must have just accepted it as it was back in 2017, because it had sold out during pre-order and there was no way to get a replacement of it anyway. Apparently it's not good for the stylus to play an off-centre record, so I guess I shouldn't. Hopefully my new 2023 vinyl has no problems!

I wasn't in to collect my vinyl player so my neighbours have it and I gotta grab it from them tomorrow as I came home from work too late... boo! I didn't think hmv delivered THAT quick! I ordered it Friday and it dispatched yesterday... grr.

Got my vinyl today too, I LOVE them. I especially love the 'Britney' yellow!

The whole vinyl is like it’s slightly shifted over, so none of it is perfectly central like it should be. You know the outside edges of the vinyl that isn’t the music grooves, but just the run in? On one side of the vinyl there’s more of that than there should be, and on the other side that part is rather thin. It’s like the whole thing is off. It’s probably only a couple of millimetres, but that makes a surprising significant difference!

It’s hard to explain, but I hope that makes sense. A video would be easier!

There's been 0 promo. While other artists spam pre-order links on their Instagram stories every day for months, Britney hasn't even acknowledged these releases exist.

But yes. The Urban Outfitters pressings have been around for four years, and we got about four different ones for each album, plus picture discs for Baby and Oops.

Finally received my last 3 vinyl (my friend ordered them for me but only just managed to get them off of her ) and yep, can confirm 'Britney Jean' pressing is stunning
