The Lazy Song The first single from the '24K Magic' album to fall, 'Versace on the Floor' has always struck me as a marmite kind of song. An obvious throwback to early 90s radio ballads, this curiously failed to become a significant chart hit - even a questionably requested David Guetta remix failed to do it much justice (I do think 'Funk Wav' era Calvin Harris would have done a better job personally). A decision to release this single in the middle of Summer always seemed odd as well. However, a decent enough song all in all, I did quite like this. Next round closes Saturday, getting ever harder to choose now. |
