1) WHEN SHOULD THE UK MUSIC BUSINESS GIVE UP ON THE ARTIST ALBUM?
2) CAN ANYTHING BE DONE TO MAKE THE STREAMING CHARTS ‘MORE BRITISH’?
3) WILL IT SOON BE TIME TO PUT THE UK SINGLES CHART OUT OF ITS MISERY?

Some interesting thoughts from MBW which kind of align with how I feel about albums gradually becoming an irrelevancy as we approach the end of the 2010s, also note that the biggest British debut of 2016 was by.... Bradley Walsh! : http://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/biggest-british-debut-album-2016-hang/
So overly dramatic. Just because people aren't buying albums doesn't mean they're not streaming them. Albums are still relevant.
And who honestly cares whether an artist is from the UK or not. I know its the UK chart and they want people to represent us but seriously, its really not that important.
I'd have to agree. It's definitely a bit dramatic. Album sales are of course down but I still think people get excited for albums and there's a market for them.
Albums are also important in building fan bases, getting people to your gigs, earning the big dollar.
