BuzzJack Music Forum _ Pop _ The Script - Sunsets & Full Moons

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 14th September 2019, 11:31 AM

Following their fourth #1 album in 2017, Freedom Child, it appears The Script will return with new music soon as their social media profiles have gone black - and they just posted this!

I really liked a lot of the last album - especially Rain.

Ugh

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 14th September 2019, 01:01 PM

Looking forward to this.

Posted by: Cqmerqn 14th September 2019, 05:07 PM

Ooh! I’m not sure if they’ll have another hit tbh. Rain was really good though!

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 15th September 2019, 02:15 AM

I loved rain.

Posted by: Dexton 15th September 2019, 03:14 AM

Rain, Arms Open and Written in the Scars were all highlights from their last album for me and Arms Open especially I still listen to a lot! The rest wasn’t too great tbh but it’s not terrible, hopefully the new album will improve on that.

Deliverance is a bit of an earworm too

Rain was all kinds of horrible, a 0/10 song and bad Ed Sheeran copycat of a song, chasing all trends... really one of the bands that have dropped the most in quality since their promising debut, a pity...

Yeah Rain was very much a case of chasing trends but it was still a great song. The last album was a slight drop in quality compared to previous albums so I'm hoping this one will be something of a return to form. I want a big Superheroes/Hall Of Fame type thing as the lead single!

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 17th September 2019, 11:54 AM

Ya the last album was good but not as good but rain was great.

Posted by: ThePensmith 17th September 2019, 03:53 PM

I love The Script but I wasn't a fan of their last album. It was so obviously chasing trends of that time which has never been the point of them for me. I would like to hope this'll be a return to their more classic sound.

If we're ranking their albums, for me it would go:

1. Science and Faith
2. No Sound Without Silence
3. The Script
4. #3
5. Freedom Child

Any predicions for the title based on the letters?

I'm going for "The Last Time"

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 17th September 2019, 10:29 PM

The Best Life

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 19th September 2019, 07:12 AM

It's called 'The Last Time', out tomorrow and does sound promising from the short preview

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 19th September 2019, 02:26 PM

This is really good! It's also a return to their older sound smile.gif

Posted by: Cqmerqn 19th September 2019, 11:20 PM

It’s cute, but not a hit.

Posted by: Wall 20th September 2019, 02:59 AM

I like it a lot tbh

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 20th September 2019, 02:38 PM

Video out now!

Posted by: slowdown73 21st September 2019, 10:47 AM

I like the new track. Quite edgy!

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 11th October 2019, 07:17 AM

The album is titled 'Sunset & Full Moons' and is out on November 8th!

There isn't much else out that day, so hopefully it'll be another #1 album for them

Posted by: slowdown73 12th October 2019, 09:25 AM

Only 9 tracks on the album according to iTunes!

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 22nd October 2019, 09:34 AM

Brilliant to see The Last Time at #30 in the Monday update!

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 22nd October 2019, 10:22 AM

It's great that the single is holding up well and possibly on track for a new peak.

Posted by: Wall 23rd October 2019, 01:31 AM

Spotify is legit ruining this.

It’s constantly been top five on iTunes and is struggling due to Spotify not putting it on HHUK despite it doing well on iTunes

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 25th October 2019, 11:31 AM

The Last Time has finally been added to HHUK! Hopefully this means it'll start to do as well there as it's doing on Apple Music.

Posted by: Bjork 25th October 2019, 11:50 AM

it's still quite low on HH, but hopefully enough to make it go at least top 200

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 26th October 2019, 12:11 PM

Great to see the last time go top 40, that's a good result for them, its chart run reminds me of kylies dancing which took a couple of weeks to finally make it.

Posted by: Jonjo 27th October 2019, 12:09 AM

The Last Time is so good. My favourite song of theirs for a while! Probably since their first era actually!

Posted by: Wall 27th October 2019, 12:33 AM

Told u

Posted by: Mack. 28th October 2019, 03:29 PM

It's all right this from them. 'The Last Time'. Hopefully it isn't just the one week in the Top 40 for this.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 31st October 2019, 04:27 PM

'Something Unreal' is releasing tonight!

Posted by: pippa 31st October 2019, 06:22 PM

Could they make it two Top 75 entries from this album.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 1st November 2019, 09:37 AM

Really like this, potentially more than The Last Time

Pleased it managed another week Top 40 just! Would have loved it to climb seeing as it held up so well on iTunes and is one of there best songs for years IMO.

Posted by: Mack. 11th November 2019, 03:12 PM

Now up to... a new peak of #38. Hoping somehow that it can continue to climb.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 11th November 2019, 03:17 PM

Given it's had a big climb on Spotify following the album release, I'm hoping for top 30 this week.

Posted by: pippa 11th November 2019, 03:55 PM

I think it will come close to the Top 30 this week, but if nothing else, if should achieve a new peak position this week.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 11th November 2019, 05:40 PM

Set to be their 5th #1 album! Had a listen and really liked it

Posted by: pippa 12th November 2019, 09:34 PM

There latest material is enjoyable but i am not rushing out to buy the album just yet.
I have preferred previous material from them.

Posted by: ThePensmith 13th November 2019, 09:47 PM

They performed 'Run Through Walls' from the album on The One Show tonight. Such a beautiful song I may have cried a bit, yes.

Posted by: BiLLYx 16th December 2019, 12:47 PM

I’ve only just got round to listening to this and it’s my favourite of theirs I think - The Last Time, Same Time & Hurt People Hurt People are amazing!

I like that they seem to be doing them and not really chasing trends anymore.

Posted by: gavindeejay 7th January 2020, 02:25 PM

'Run Through Walls' has been sent out to UK Radio as the second single.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 9th January 2020, 05:39 PM

A video for Run Through Walls is releasing tomorrow

Posted by: lewistgreen 19th January 2020, 05:02 PM

This is 2/2 for me, great single choice!
