Only Jim and I have voted and already last week’s 100% winner can’t be repeated!

Status Quo got my vote along with David Bowie again (another classic album albeit I prefer a couple of other songs on it).

The Gary Glitter song is legitimately the worst.

Might be an unprecedented one in the worst poll though...

I'll go against type here and go for only one I knew and liked previously (Rockin' All Over the World), the other four are all discoveries and/or finally putting a name to what I always knew, Dance with the Devil, The Hustle, Rodrigo’s Guitar Concerto De Aranjuez and Music, the latter in particular was excellent!

Gary Glitter genuinly is the worst here disregarding the artist, just a really dull and monotone song (Rock and Roll Part 2 I can admit is a great song x). Showaddywaddy as well as they were seriously scourges on the 70s x

Looks like someone submitted a late vote in the previous poll and spoiled Bowie's 100% victory anyway tongue.gif

I wouldn't say there are any truly essential songs on this week's list honestly, probably the worst week of any of these polls to date (including the #2s iirc). Not that I dislike any of them but just don't think there's anything above like an 8/10. Voted for Hank Mizell, ABBA and a good discovery from Cozy Powell. And Glitter for worst obvz.

3 way tie at the moment. ohmy.gif

I guess I’d prefer Bowie not to get a 2nd win on the bounce. Much as I love ABBA, Cozy Powell would be a fun shock victor!

Voted for all my personal chart-toppers, So that'll be the fab Hustle (Play loud in a club) plus Sound & Vision which just got pipped to the top spot and which was played loud in a club on saturday as I danced the night away till 1.15 am (as mentioned elsewhere, along with my BJSC entry on the playlist - I chatted to DJ;s Readers Wyfes too. Playlist perfection as I had a Duckie fabulous night of brilliant music in Vauxhall mixed in with arty acts and a quiz. It still rocks, and any genre is fair game as long as it's top notch. Abba, Bee Gees, Wings were my others, but Cozy Powell came close, 6th form iconic drum masterpiece. I can play it on any desk.

Babs was also a chart-topper, harrumph! Bit of a surprise seeing Geoff Love & His Orchestra (aka Manuel) in the top section. It's nice and held the UK number one spot actually for a few hours in Feb 1976. It was announced as the number one on an IT-screwed up top 40 that was obviously a bit mad. The real chart-topper was the Four Seasons, as we found out the next day. I like all the Worst options except one. Gary Glitter's was godawful dreary as his ego went into overload and released a self-loving film at the cinema of the same name as he started to think he was Elvis. I mean, he always had those tendencies, which was why his 80's concerts were huge draws as portly Gary was in no way able to carry it off except as a figure of chantalong amusement bit of tongue-in-cheek fun. Turns out he was serious and we never knew!

Surprised Barbara is nominated in worst here. Her voice is so easy to listen to and it's a pleasant song too!

Best:

Cozy Powell
Paul McCartney and Wings
Manuel And The Music Of The Mountains
Hank Mizell
David Bowie
Bee Gees

Worst
Gary Glitter for sure.

Peters and Lee and Barry Biggs are not amazing or anything but didn't dislike them and I have to say I do like 'When' oops. I also like 'Under The Moon Of Love' by Showaddywaddy!

Also don't mind RAOTW but not enough to vote for exactly!
