Rudimental are counting down to this Friday with some of their tweets and today they appear to have posted some lyrics!

I hope it is actually drum n bass this time, as much as I love These Days.

So it seems this may actually feature Protoje. He tweeted about it a few weeks ago and if the clip on his Twitter is anything to go by, it's going to have a dancehall vibe.

sounds good and pretty commercial, but maybe it lacks the big names to make it a #1

This certainly sounds Summery but it doesn’t sound like a Rudimental single at all. Hopefully it isn’t only a grat but looking at the tracklisting for the pre-release album coming, there’s some features by RAYE and Jess Glynne that could be promising.

This is certainly grower material! Just my type of music and could be the best from this era, so naturally it's going to flop just like the amazing We Could Go Back did sad.gif

I hadn't heard of the features before, and this sort of music isn't usually to my taste, but I'm really enjoying it.

I particularly like the line "My name's Hak Baker thank you for listening".

I only know Protoje thanks to Who Knows being Radio 1's 5th most played song of the year a couple of years back laugh.gif

Musically sounds a fair bit better than These Days but I am sick to death of this focus-grouped, safe, insultingly acquiescent lyrical matter that they're peddling. Yes, it's nice when people get along, yes people occasionally have nostalgia. Make a proper point or don't make your lyrics mean anything at all, but please don't pander to the lowest common denominator with radio pop. It's the sort of thing that always feels off.
