Omg, this is awful, a 12 year old Wolverine fan has killed himself after he got bullied for coming out :'(
QUOTE A 12-year-old boy has tragically killed himself after he was bullied for coming out. Andrew Leach was found dead at his Mississippi home after he hung himself on March 6. Leach's 16-year-old brother found him in the family garage alongside a heartbreaking note. Speaking to WREG, Cheryl Hudson, Andrew's mother, described her son as a "loving young boy". She said: "He had a contagious smile. He was outdoorsy. He loved to go camping. If you were down, he'd try to help you up." Omg, this is awful, a 12 year old Wolverine fan has killed himself after he got bullied for coming out :'( As usual, a school did nothing about the bullying when told about it. It sickens me when headteachers put 'protecting the schools reputation' above the needs of bullying victims. This post has been edited by vidcapper: Mar 21 2018, 07:49 AM |

Tragic. No child should be allowed to be bullied.
..and I can vouch inaction on bullying is going on right now in some British schools more concerned with sucking up to Ofsted, based on what friends with kids say. rather than deal with the bullies they are more concerned with removing the target to stop it. All that does is they move onto others... |

The league tables (beloved by both Tory and Labour governments) are a menace. The crude figures used just cannot tell the whole story. Therefore, we end up with schools being reluctant to excluded students because it make them look bad in these godawful tables.

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree about 'league tables' - they totally distort teaching/clinical etc priorities. |
