A sixth week at #1 for Calvin & Sam probably awaits, with Marshmello & Bastille still giving chase. Dave is heading for a big new entry with Fredo collab Funky Friday, while Without Me might give Halsey her first solo Top 40 hit. There's also new releases from Jonas Blue, Charli XCX/Troye Sivan and 6ix9ine

Looking to take the #1 album spot from Rod Stewart is Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper's soundtrack for A Star Is Born, which would give Gaga her first chart topper in five years, twenty one pilots are also in contention with Trench, following their mainstream breakthrough with Blurryface. Other new releases from You Me At Six with their 6th album VI, KT Tunstall, Cat Power, Steve Perry, Katie Melua, Matt Berry, Echo & The Bunnymen and more

Breakdown of the week
- Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted.
- Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm.
- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.
- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored.
- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

I would love to see Marshmello & Bastille to get a week, Calvin Harris and Drake have been dominating the top spot for 15 to 16 weeks between them with different tracks.

If A Star is Born goes to no.1 in the albums it be the 3rd soundtrack album to go to No.1 this year laugh.gif I wonder if Bohemian Rhapsody and Mary Poppins Returns do it later in the year laugh.gif

BR will definitely be #1 and probably the big holiday seller too so would be great if ASIB could get these two weeks before it arrives.

3 soundtracks in the Top Ten before the end of the year, the reissue of The Greatest Showman soundtrack very soon means that will have a jump in sales, Mamma Mia Here We Go Again will also see another boost after the blu ray ray release in November, the other soundtrack to look out for is Thom Yorke's Suspiria soundtrack, could have as many as 6 soundtracks make number one this year

Team Gaga and Bradley for #1 album.

Hoping Marshmello gets number one in singles chart but think it’ll be Calvin / Sam.

Can someone please answer me a question about the new Star Is Born Soundtrack. Why doesn't it include Evergreen, which was on the original album sung by Barbra Streisand in 1977?

I would greatly welcome Lady Gaga getting the number 1 album, its a long time since she had a UK number 1.

I wasn't sure it'd reach 20k personally, if it did that'd be a pretty good result considering the lack of crossover hits

I was thinking something like 17K for them tbh with about 70% of those sales being from streams.

I don’t think Marshstille will ever have a shot at #1 as Little Mix release their next single before Calvin and Sam are due to hit ACR
