Hello all and welcome back to our new 'Discover' feature!!!
This time, we're chatting about Three! The Babes third album, second as 2.0, was as big as a success as Angels hitting #3 in the UK charts on it's way to a 3x Platinum rating with well over 800k in sales. This album really is all about the three's as it's lead single, Hole In The Head, was the bands third UK number 1. Allegedly written in just three months, Three saw the girls collaborate with long time faves Xenomania and the legend that is Dianne Warren. Uniquely for a Sugababes album, each of our leading ladies had as near a solo track as you could get without leaving the band on this album with 'Whatever Makes You Happy' by Keisha, 'Sometimes' by Heidi and 'Maya' by Mutya about the recent passing of her younger sister. (Maya's name is also tattooed upon Mutya and features as her daughters middle name. With Three the girls attempted to break the American market, with Hole In The Head hitting the dizzying heights of #98 on the Hot 100. (Your faves could never...) When the follow up, Too Lost In You, failed to make an impact the album release plan was scrapped Too Lost In You went on to be featured in Love Actually and Sometimes was featured in the movie 'Wimbledon'! The album went on to sell over 1m copies across Europe and like it's two predecessors was a critical darling. Whatever Makes You Happy and Nasty Ghetto featured in the greatest hits tour as 'Songs we really wanted to release'. Tracklisting: 1 \ Hole In The Head 2 \ Whatever Makes You Happy 3 \ Caught In A Moment 4 \ Situation's Heavy 5 \ Million Different Ways 6 \ Twisted 7 \ We Could Have It All 8 \ Conversation's Over 9 \ In The Middle 10 \ Too Lost In You 11 \ Nasty Ghetto 12 \ Buster 13 \ Sometimes 14 \ Maya To the non-singles! Whatever Makes You Happy Situation's Heavy Million Different Ways Twisted We Could Have It All Conversation's Over Nasty Ghetto Buster Sometimes Maya |

This is my all time favourite album. If Colder In The Rain replaced 'Caught In A Moment' then it'd be a 10/10 affair. That having been said, CIAM is still a solid 9.5/10.
About as close to perfection as you can get imo. It's just amazing. From the insanely beautiful Maya to the grimy Nasty Ghetto. |

Funny, I remember not liking it on release but now it's probably my second favorite of theirs after One Touch.

This is my most favourite Sugas album also
If only they swapped Twisted with Disturbed and Colder In The Rain, that would be perfect By the way, a source said that originally Million Different Ways were planned to have a slow-paced tempo as a ballad, but at last they changed it. So now I wonder what it would sound like This post has been edited by Mike Sugafan: Feb 14 2015, 02:42 PM |

Disturbed can come along for the ride. It's the shit. Three had some seriously flawless B-sides.

'Three' is by far and away their best studio album.
It is just pop perfection from start to finish. |

An amazing album but not flawless. My revised tracklist is pretty much perfect for me:
01. Hole in the Head 02. In the Middle 03. Caught in a Moment 04. Million Different Ways 05. We Could Have It All 06. Conversation's Over 07. Too Lost in You 08. Who 09. Someone in My Bed 10. Twisted 11. Whatever Makes You Happy 12. Sometimes 13. Maya 14. Disturbed 15. Colder in the Rain |

Great additions!! The three you've removed are essential for me tho. Nasty Ghetto is flawless.

I dunno, Situation's Heavy never grew on me and Nasty Ghetto is too urban for me. Buster is ok, but not as great as the rest of the tracks.

Gonna listen to this tonight. Too Lost In You is their finest ballad for me and Hole in the Head is probably my second favourite single of theirs after About You Now. I thought Caught in a Moment and The Middle were awful singles after 6 great ones.

Personally I'm still not fond of 'Maya' and 'Twisted'. If they would've been replaced with 'Disturbed' then the album would be . I don't know why 'Disturbed' didn't make it Maybe too heavy/dark? Although yet it would've fit in perfectly.
I used to hate 'Sometimes' too but for some reason I'm totally digging that now. Would've been a better album closer. |

IMO "Maya" is okay because Mutya sounds amazing on it, but "Twisted" is a disaster, I agree if it was replaced with "Disturbed". Apart from it, Three is a real solid album. |
