Hopefully we will have 2 Kylie albums in the Top 75 next week then.

Have to say I’m slightly disappointed they reissued KM94 so soon after the official reissue the ‘Be With Records’ label done of the album - literally the only difference is the colour of thee Vinyl, a bonus track or something would have been a welcome addition!

Would be fantastic if it could replicate the success of the Light Years vinyl, but that album is a much bigger fan favourite so I'm unsure.

That said, Light Years managed to return to the Top 40 so realistically this may make a low entry in the Top 75.

I think from a fan perspective it wouldn’t have sold as good as the LY vinyl but I think the people trying to make a quick buck by selling them on eBay (There are about 30+ listed already!) will mean they will all sell out and should go Top 50 at least!

That would be a good result purely from a chart perspective, not good that the wrong people get their hands on a copy.
I would like to see Kylie have 2 albums once again in the Top 75 at the one time.

The Amazon releases say that it’s a white vinyl in the description!

Other than colour, the difference between this and the Be With version is that this is 1xLP only, Be With was 2xLP (which always struck me as a bit excessive for a 10 track album).

Interesting that it’s BMG that is behind this new version. Hopefully Impossible Princess is in the pipeline too. If that one ended up being Sainsbury’s Exclusive, I’d fear the prices that people would try and sell it for on eBay. Fans will definitely fall over themselves to try and get a copy of that one.

I find the eBay prices for KM94 ridiculous, it’s not like this is a first time pressing. These sellers may have shot themselves in the foot anyway if the Amazon version is the same.

I wonder how many copies were made available in Sainsbury’s? Honestly I’m so over these Sainsbury’s exclusives, the sticker may as well say “eBay Exclusive” lol. So many listings.

This! On last count there were 100+ listings for the album, I stopped in a huge Sainsburys store tonight to see if they had any left and the girl working on the music section said they had 11 copies delivered and somebody came in and bought them all

I’ve ordered the version from the Amazon German website - £21 including delivery

Pleased to see these not going for crazy prices on eBay due to the fact so many of them are listed and it’s almost identical to the previous reissue and the same as the Amazon one that’s coming in October.

The current selling price seems to be around £35 so not a great profit for the ones trying to scam the fans (About £9 profit taking away the cost of the vinyl, and eBay and PayPal fees). I guess we should thank them for making it sell out and contributing to hopefully a high chart entry

BMG/Deconstruction already done a double CD set of this and IP - I guess they could put them both into production again? I’m surprised they haven’t updated Hits+ (I’m secretly hoping for a vinyl release of that too).

Hopeful that this will return to the Top 40 officially - Sainsburys are tweeting they are sold out in most locations, also the recent double vinyl reissue has just sold out on the Juno store so both versions should count towards the chart

I've noticed that quite a few copies on eBay haven't been selling today, including one with a starting bid of £29.99 (+ a £5.99 postage charge on top of that, but that was still one of the cheaper ones going).

Quite a few of these eBay sellers are going to be disappointed that they're not making big profits out of this one!

^^ Yes so pleased that they are not selling for crazy prices, there are so many of them listed it’s brought the price down to about £25 with free shipping so literally zero profit for the ones who bought them all in order to make money. A lot of KM fans have realised the European version is going to be the same (Minus the ‘Sainsburys Exclusive’ sticker ).

Pleased they are not making money out of this after being so greedy but they have helped nicely with the midweek position - might make them think twice when the next ‘exclusive’ is released! I think demand is a lot lower for this generally as it was originally released on vinyl and then the double vinyl re-issue a few years back so this is really only one for the completists.

Amazon seem to be stocking the original CD (Rather than it being sold by a 3rd party) so wonder if BMG have put it into production again? I’ve ordered a copy in the hopes that it’s sealed as despite owning various versions of the album I don’t have a sealed CD copy and plus it will be an extra chart sale for this week along with the Sainsburys and BeWith vinyl I purchased plus at least 1 full album stream a day

It dropped much further than i expected.
A 30 place drop from the last midweek position we got.
That said, great to see it back on the chart and second time this year Kylie has 2 albums in the top 75 region of the chart.

Unfortunately no sales total (yet... fingers crossed I'll be able to find out). Back in 2009 it was revealed to have sold 121,608.

Interesting to know that it previously only sold 1,071 copies on vinyl. I assume that would include the original 1994 release and the 2016 Be With Records re-release?

I wonder if it sold any copies via CD/download/streaming this week? Surely there must have been a bit of streaming at least? #66 sold 1,590 overall, but the above quote states KM94 sold 1,587 vinyl copies to land at #66, but that's not necessarily its full weekly total. It makes me wonder whether 1,587 actually includes a few sales from other formats.

Wouldn't be surprised if it receives 0 sale-equivalent streams most weeks given Confide In Me and Put Yourself in My Place won't be counted (the top 2 streamers of an album don't get included, right?).

Would be interested to see what it's trickle sales are though, so hopefully we get an updated total.

They're included, but they're "neutralised"!

"The 2 album tracks attracting most streams are neutralised to the level of the average of the next 10 highest

I think Light Years sold 12k between 2009 and 2018 so I guess KM94 might be just over 125k by now.

Afraid so! It debuted at #4 which was pretty good considering the #15 debut of her previous album, but it fell away quickly before a mini resurrection when it returned to the Top 40 briefly.

Amazing that it’s sold the same as Golden has - Golden seems like a huge success whilst KM94 felt like it underperformed massively, I wonder what Deconstructioms expectations were for the album? Surely they would have been wanting 300,000+ in the UK.

Easily they would have hoped for platinum.If you think of how different the sales climate is now to then, if golden was released during a period of higher sales it would be a much bigger selling album, comparing the sales markets then snd now golden is a much greater success than km94.

My white vinyl of KM94 arrived from Amazon Germany today (Identical to my Sainsburys copy minus the ‘Sainsburys Exclusive’ sticker ). This seems to have a standard release across Europe as it’s available on amazon France and Germany - such a shame they released it in such limited numbers in her biggest market especially as HMV are stocking a huge back catalogue of vinyl now, her albums really should be available.

Rumours have been swirling for a long time that BMG are planning something now that they own her PWL and Deconstruction material. If the runours are to be believed once they have got SBIT out of the way we will get regular versions of her PWL albums on vinyl available everywhere followed by her Deconstruction albums - fingers crossed!

It's an album that I have to be in the mood for as it does deviate from the pop sound I love from Kylie, but there's some great moments here. 'Limbo' and 'Dreams' are two particular highlights, with the latter being one that Kylie pop fans would love too.

Also yes for the Golden Tour / Glastonbury DVD! *.* Surely they must be planning something with the Golden Tour footage?!

I’ve mentioned it before but we are DEFINITELY getting vinyl reissues from BMG for all the work they own (PWL sand Deconstruction) - due to the amount of reissues the PWL albums have already had and the fact that the Cherry Red sets can’t be bettered then they will be straight forward reissues.

The Cherry Red license expires hence why the box sets are discontinued/reduced to clear on their site and the ‘Be With’ deal only covered KM94.

Impossible Princess is certainly worth a listen in full.
I also recommend giving the album time and multiple plays if you have time as after a few listens the tracks really stay with you.
I am super excited to learn the IP vinyl is in the works, this is a mist have item.
The SBIT boxset sounds exciting but i have fears the price could be high for this.

On both releases if Kylie could go on the promotional trail it could reap big rewards for her.
If the IP vinyl gets a real push it will sell in strong number on release.

Hopefully it will encourage BMG to give us everything on vinyl next year - KM94 has sold well on the format considering it was originally available in 1994, then released as a double vinyl disc edition in 2016 and now the white vinyl version.

When it comes to the time for releasing Impossible Princess on vinyl which i would hugely welcome i would also be interested in the album getting a new CD release at the same time.
Ideally this would be made available as a bundle.
Having all Kylies catalogue available on vinyl is needed and important and there is demand for this format.
