I thought it would be a good idea if we had a thread where you can recommend apps. Is there an app you recently purchased on your phone that you think others might like? Well known apps, indie apps, underrated apps all welcome. Just share with us which ones you rate, what the app is about and why!

Duolingo is essential for anyone who even contemplates learning another language. And it's free! (although they've recently added an ad at the end of each lesson which is a shame

I second this, it's so easy to pick up and learn. I often find myself spending hours on it doing multiple lessons in a sitting.

A one I recommend is Charity Miles. If you do a lot of exercise, be it running, walking or cycling, it measures how far you've travelled and "sponsors" you in a way for a charity of your choice (from a list). I can't remember the exact ratio but it's something like 10p a mile. I used it when training for the GNR and chose the World Wildlife Fund.

I have Duolingo on my phone and I highly recommend it too.

One app on my phone is as stupid as it sounds having a Eprint app on your phone. HP do one and im sure other makes do as well. It's so convenient.

idk if there's anyone here who's interested enough in learning psychology from an app, but if there IS, one app I found which is so interesting and convenient for me at the moment is Psychology Education. It's free and has 26 chapters of understandable yet insightful reading. I have to admit, I've been slacking so I haven't read too far yet but I definitely plan on reading to the very end to aid my understanding of the subject!
