Hey guys and welcome to AF Idol, the new game to kick off the launch of our AF hub <3

It's a competition between the AF's where a song is selected and pitted against the other AF's every round. Each round is multiple choice and anyone can vote. Most rounds will have a play-off between the bottom 2 but some rounds will be a double elimination. The main round will last 2 days and the play-off will last 1 day. Vote for your favourite songs each round based on how many it says to vote for. And let's see who comes out on top *.*

In this round, please vote for your favourite NINE songs (so half of them). We'd encourage you to post below the songs you voted for! This round is a single elimination! All forums managed to choose their own song <3

We changed last min for Taylor & I hope it pays-off haha Ik it's a risk after LOTB went (similarly acclaimed & flopped in the charts) but its only a single elim this round haha

Holler is great, I’ll never understand the drama surrounding how apparently awful it is. It’s catchy as hell, the chorus is fire, and they serve up some of their best vocals. It’s a #1 hit single... their 9th, in fact. Not everyone in the above list has that.

I completely stand by the choice and hope we manage to scrape through, because we wanted the Spice Girls to keep arguably better loved singles for later rounds.

I legit can't believe The Saturdays choose 'Higher' they defiantly should have choose 'What About Us' this round and would have been left with 'Higher', 'Ego' and 'Up'. I would have even possibly risked 'All Fired Up' or 'Issues' this round tbf for them.

That was an interesting round. I guess I understand why Calvin AF mods sent "We Found Love" this round to avoid a possible elimination like it almost happened last round, but I think that Calvin has enough material to avoid a single elimination and they could have used this song for later rounds. Either way, kudos for Lady Gaga AF mods to submit "Dance In The Dark". I didn't vote for it because my ninth spot was between this, "Last Friday Night (TGIF)" and "Higher" and the latter took it, but it was good to see an album track from The Fame Monster to be sent honestly. Also, minority opinion, but "Holler" > "Express Yourself". I guess it's because I'm not so into Madonna's stuff prior Ray of Light.

I don't think it was a sympathy vote. "Ain't My Fault" is one of her best, while "Girls Like" is a good track, but a risky one which gets lost as well in my opinion.
