Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 11/01 to 17/01 chart
Its sales were down last week however Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars' 'Uptown Funk!' should be safe for a fourth week at #1. Hoping to break into the Top 10 is 'Promesses' by French DJ Tchami and singer Kaleem Taylor whilst Tulisa's 'Living Without You' should enter further down the Top 40 and Kanye West & Paul McCartney's 'Only One' may climb in its first full week of sales.
It's a dead week for new releases in the albums, meaning the #1 spot is open for Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran or George Ezra to receive another week on top.

Just looking at the lyrics of Tulisa's song for the subtitle - the double negative "without no safety" surely means she's falling with safety, no?
Hopefully normal services will resume this week after the Christmas break. The #1 album could be any of the top 3, with sales back to the norm, and the Brits nominations are just round the corner.
from Mint Royale on twitter
^^ I doubt the Sia surge has nothing to do with any 'Song of the year' countdowns and more to do with the fact it was selling for 99p!
Hopefully it's sold enough to stay Top 10 and beat its original peak of #11!
We have mids, normal services have resumed
See above update
Sia.
Would love for Sia's album to get a Top 10 peak (and then she obvsiously needs to hurry up and release the next single from it)
Poor Tulisa.
Her team so wanted this to be #1
Meet The Vamps Good to see the 99p offer has boosted it a fair way Obviously won't hold up but set for a climb even so.
Looks like it's going to be close for the Number 1 album this week
Also noteable is OneRepublic's 20-5 climb in albums, which would be a new peak for them if it holds up -- Native has so far peaked at 9. Did they have a Google Play deal or some other kind as well?
It looks like she's premiering the video to 'Elastic Heart', if her Twitter is anything to go by?
Are there any streaming sales missing from today's update? It looks as if there might be.
Would like George or Sam to be album number 1 in that race but given all three have already peaked there I'm sure none of them care much.
Looks like Mint Royale isn't aware of what language the title of the Tchami song is in. (On that note hooray for Tchami being top 3 today! Seems like he should be fairly safe for the top 10 on Sunday). A little disappointing that Kanye isn't even top 10 in the first mids, though his lack of streaming isn't helping (showing 0% streaming sales so I'm assuming the song still hasn't been added to Spotify et al Who does he think he is, Taylor Swift?)
YES at Sia!! So happy at the prospect of this receiving a Top 10 placing, one of the albums of 2014 for me!
Seems 'Elastic Heart' is the next single:
Good choice, although I would have preferred 'Big Girls Cry'.
'Elastic Heart' was from the soundtrack of the LAST 'Hunger Games' film, why on Earth is she pushing it as a single now? Even more ridiculous than the 'Solo Dancing' re-release.
Sia team are really atrocious, 'Chandelier' was almost released one year ago with the album being released in July, who waits 6 months to release the second single from the album??

So pleased for... everything I put emoticons next to, except Thinking Out Loud (can't it just go down?). Also, I'm assuming they are three dropouts (hopefully 27, 29 and 39, but they're unlikely)
I hope George Ezra or Sam Smith has the number 1 album this Sunday. Ed Sheeran has had it for too long
Mint Royale also got the premiere date of Promesses wrong, it's not 5 months old, it's 17. (he must've misread the publish date of its original YouTube video)
Anyway YESSSS for Tchami going top 3 and Kaleem Taylor officially the most relevant Taylor in the chart *_* though it'll probably miss top 5 by end of the week.
Looks like another new peak for Hozier's take me to the church Good to see One Republic climbing, I know the 99p Google promo will fade off but the album has been on the charts for ages and id love it to eventually go platinum.
Could I ask for Take That album position please??Take That really need to join in the 99p google promotion to add sales.
I don't mind "I Loved You" climbing up. It deserves to go higher and it didn't deserve to lose its original peak due to streaming. I just hope "Yours" can climb even more
Well going by that logic, Ed Sheeran would only be on single #2 by now
Nice climbs for '1000 Forms of Fear' and '2014 Forest Hills Drive'
I don't think Sia releasing 'Elastic Heart' is as ludicrous as people are suggesting. Yes it is quite old, but it's never had any recognition really and it makes for an interesting single choice to follow on from 'Chandelier'. I don't think the timing is too off either, as 'Chandelier' is still huge around the world. What is strange is that The Weeknd doesn't seem to be featuring on it not sure that will work as well at all...
I am deeply upset that 'Big Girls Cry' isn't getting a release still however that means that my campaigning for it to be single #3 officially beings NOW
What an amazing top three! *_*
Sadly I fear/expect that Sheeran monstrosity will overtake one or both of Tchami & Philip George.
Great that 3 decent albums could reach new peaks this week thanks to Google Play - One Republic, Sia and J.Cole
Probably a stupid question here on my behalf but does this update include streaming? It's just for example Tulisa is at #15 here which is where I'd expect her to be based on sales, but I imagine she's actually at least 10 places lower in the actual chart due to the streaming effect.
Sorry I was just a little confused
Yep, yesterday's update included streaming data.
Oh wow! This makes me very happy then haha! Thanks

Tulisa is coming for that #41 play on Sunday
#1 album is still up in the air, hope suedehead2 is preparing 3 different versions of his commentary for the #1 album on Sunday
Shame Sia has fallen from the top 10. Expecting Queen B to make a re-entry in tomorrow/friday's singles mids.
Do you happen to know the chart position for III and These Days, please?
It looks like "Uptown Funk" could break 100,000 sales for a fifth consecutive week
Take That: These Days Number 16
Three Number 13
I did not foresee the sharp fall for These Days this week as it was top 10 until recently on itunes, streaming is going against it. Three holding up better than i expected, a 1 place drop is not bad considering many of the albums placed higher than it are selling at much cheaper prices.
Just realised why Frank Sinatra's album has shot back up, BBC1 had a show on Saturday, current acts singing his tracks.
And for anyone requesting positions for any acts, press the links with the current update, no need to ask.

I hope Ut F makes +100k again (which it probably will)
Phil seems to be doing the 'would've been #1 if it wasn't so much competition'
And the 3-5 seems to be very fragile looking at the copies 'sold'. Anything could happen
And like I predicted, Alesso has been knocked down to non-mover status by Hozier
Can Real Love get to #10?
Great to see LAN climbing (a bit )
The top 3 albums are extremely close, anyone of them could end up number 1 on Sunday. As all three acts have already reached number 1 and sold excellently i doubt the outcome will bother any of them too much.
Up, please, go up 1 place and relegate Thinking Out Loud to #5!
Wow, Them album sales are close.
Yay at The War on Drugs' album unexpectedly rising from its position last week. Hope their record label re-push "Red Eyes" to radio to capitalize on it, and maybe see if the album can eventually repeak. Hopefully we'll see that album reaching Gold within the next few months (it was certified Silver recently, so it's not too far off).
If "Take Me To Church" keeps climbing, it will be the second song since "All Of Me" to gain success after its NOW appearance
Lovely to see 'Up' climbing again. Also #2 on Irish iTunes at present I believe?
I think Uptown funk is going to be the Happy of 2015

No chance for Tulisa to stay inside the 40 come Sunday, its dropping so fast.
Glad Beyonce is back in, hopefully she can beat the #36 peak on Sunday.
I think Tchami will fall to #6 on Sunday, with Ed #3, Olly/Demi #4 and Taylor #5. Shame, I'm really growing to like it.
I think Tchami has a good chance of remaining top 5 now actually, courtesy of Taylor's lack of streaming (like Oliver Heldens a few weeks ago). Really amazed and pleased at how well he's done, from the pre-order's performance I was only expecting him to be low top 20 at best.
Tulisa really is struggling, it's having a bit of a "No Enemiesz" type problem, staying around the late-teens/mid-twenties on iTunes all week, yet falling further and further down the chart very quickly with each update!
I think the top 10 will look like
1 Mark Ronson
2 Philip George
3 Ed Sheeran
4 Olly Murs
5 Tchami
6 Taylor
7 Hozier (could even get to #6 after their performance on Graham Norton show)
8 Ben Haenow
9 Alesso
10 Meghan/Clean Bandit
Tulisa has actually done better than I expected - With no major radio stations backing her, I expected a lot worse but her fan base remains stronger than I expected.
I just hope Echosmith can sneak in the top 40 by Sunday. If it's benefitting from streaming and at #29 on iTunes, then it could be possible. I also hope Gorgon City can re-enter this Sunday
I'm about as far from a Tulisa fan as you can get, but I am quite digging this so hoping it can scrape the top 40 for her.
(Especially as the last two singles she released before this were beyond dire)
Tulisa! I hope it's at least #41 so it can get a play on Sunday!
Tulisa falling at a comical rate hope it goes to #41 for the lol factor.
really hope Tchami can stay top 5 by the end of the week, I imagine Ed/Olly will overtake, hopefully Taylor doesn't.
As far as I can tell neither Up or Chami is on Spotify (or any streaming?) so it's a case of who can keep up regular sales
Tchami, however, has the advantages of pre-orders and debut sales whereas Up does not.
The top end album sales are looking very respectable for this time of year. Could i please ask for Take That positions in today's update.
You can also refer to an unknown gender as 'their'
Ooh, hoping Yours can hold on to #36. Also, really hoping 7/11 leaves the top 40 before Sunday, and are Blame and Sing anywhere near the exit? Also, is Ghost still in the top 40?
Hopeful Tchami can hold onto a top five placing come Sunday.
Has Cheryl's Only Human charted in in any of the daily album chart updates thus far, and if so, where is it?
A shame to see '1000 Forms of Fear' out of the top 10, but perhaps the 'Elastic Heart' hype can help it climb back in?
I don't know why this topic always seem to go off topic when SPAMMING ADAM is around, can you please stick to the content of the thread.
As for the earlier debacle over Take That, the album is #12, and the single is #17.

A few changes in the top 5, it seems odd Tulisa has not fallen since yesterday, there must be some sales missing from somewhere.
Cool Kids must be at least 41/42. They can't be far off.
Hozier continues to improve in position with each update this week with Take Me To The Church. I would foresee his album re-peaking at some stage this year too.
The top 3 albums is switching around on the updates too, it appears the number 1 could be any of the three but i believe Sam Smith may take it by a small margin at closing of the week.
Olly Murs as per usual is showing stability with his album which is always a pleasure to say as i am a fan, i would not be surprised if Up ends up managing to outsell Wrapped Up
Echosmith are at #23 on iTunes and if they're being helped by streaming, they could sneak in. I hope "Yours" hasn't dropped out
Yours deserves that extra week in the top 40,i hope it gets it.
No sign of 'Listen to the Man'. Can't see it making the Top 40 now.
Top 5 sales with the update.
Those albums are still pretty close, I should imagine Sam Smith will take it in the end.
Great to see that Tulisa hasn't dropped since yesterday, a top 40 place looking a bit more likely after all then?
Ella Henderson [Ghost] @ #41 (most likely to edge out John Legend out of the 40 by Sunday)
James Bay @ #42
Cool Kids @ #44
Gorgon City @ #51
How come Clean Bandit is on the rise!?
Martin, any idea where Jessie Ware is in albums?
Tulisa was quite far ahead of #30 yesterday so I'm not surprised she didn't fall today - she could still easily miss the top 40 as the rest of the songs in the top 40 have caught up a lot more now.
Suddenly less convinced of Tchami's chances of staying top 5, though I am sure he should remain at least #7. Wow at 'Real Love' re-entering the top 10!
Looking very likely that Sam will be #1 on the albums with Ed at #2, the first time that's happened so far (Ed was #3 in Sam's last two weeks at #1, and the earlier 2 weeks were before 'x' was released). The reverse has happened 3 times (the last 3 weeks of 2014).
Surprised that Blonde is soaring back up, but pleased!
Thank god Tulisa hasn't fallen! Fingers crossed now she can get top 40 official now!
Also, Ibre, I saw your gallery pic and I must say, it's an honourable thing you did by adding the "I am Charlie" slogan on there. I just hope we won't be seeing any more of these events this year (or ever)
Looks like Tchami is making a Promess of its chart run
And Heroes who was destined for a 1 place climb is now threatened by Real Love!
Oh, Wish You Were Mine is #1 on iTunes. Could it be number one next week?
Well, Philip George still was number one on iTunes for a brief time.
I don't think Tulisa will manage top 40 tbh even though she is staying steady in mids. I can see a #46 peak calling.
Personally I think Wish You Were Mine could have been number one had it been released at an other time. I'm sure there will be weeks where the number one sells less than 80,000 copies.
Gutted that it looks like Listen To The Man won't be reaching The Top 40. It's his best song.
Love Me Harder's never going anywhere near either. Sigh.
