The album has been out for a few weeks now and is on streaming services now for ease of listening, so it is time to rate it and find Buzzjack's fave song from this era!

Usual rules apply:
- Rate every song from 1-10, I won't be accepting partial rates as it's an album rate.
- You may use ONE optional 11 and ONE optinal -1, no limits on other scores.
- I'll set the deadline as the 15th, two weeks should be long enough!
- Edits are fine (bc I'll probably have growers as I listen more this week on Apple Music so I'm giving everyone that chance) as long as you say because I'll probably add up in batches as I go along so obviously if I put it in and you edit without saying I'm not gonna know lmao

A really solid album. Not as many highs as 1989, but just as cohesive and catchy. The thing that really lets this album down is the lyrics.

TIWECHNT is a banger (actually reminds me of 'C'mon Let Me Ride Your Bicycle' by Skylar Grey lol), but THAT middle 8/sentence...

Not surprised at 'Delicate' doing so well! Such a great song. So subtle and different for Taylor and it's quite Selena/Britney - Just Luv Me which are forum faves iirc!

Edit: LWYMMD being the absolute best on the album is what you should be most concerned about

I mean the first three tracks really set the tone. Everything else is either standard Taylor (which is still pretty good) or made to be overtly malicious (TIWWCHNT). And then there’s So It Goes with is pretty much filler.

re: “Look” - it’s good when you look at it from the the perspective of the album and what Taylor was trying to convey with that. As a standalone song it’s nothing spectacular without all the novelty tied on it.
