To follow up the #1 singles poll, let's take a look back at the eight singles of his which just missed out. He has six #2s and two #3s so far but which one deserved the top position the most?

1 Bounce [FAVE]
2 This Is What You Came For
3 How Deep Is Your Love
4 Feel So Close
5 Let's Go
6 We'll Be Coming Back
7 Ready For The Weekend
8 The Girls [LEAST FAVE]

The top 4 here really are big discography highlights!

1. How Deep Is Your Love [10/10 - his BEST single ever]
2. We'll Be Coming Back [8.5/10 - underrated, love Example's vocals on this]
3. The Girls [8/10 - really fun tune from his early stuff]
4. Ready For The Weekend [7.5/10 - another good earlier hit, very very catchy]
5. Bounce (ft. Kelis) [6/10 - not huge on this, got a bit annoying & overplayed at the time but a decent track]
6. Let's Go (ft. Ne-Yo) [5.5/10 - pretty generic & forgettable from his repertoire]
7. Feel So Close [5/10 - overrated as hell, extremely repetitive]
8. This Is What You Came For [3/10 - bleh]

About a 50/50 split between good & not so good.

FAVOURITE: Feel So Close (my favourite of his overall)
LEAST FAVOURITE: Ready For The Weekend

1. Feel So Close
2. Let's Go (This one crept up over time, I really didn't like it when it was released)
3. How Deep Is Your Love
4. Bounce (This grew a bit over time too)
5. This Is What You Came For
6. The Girls
7. We'll Be Coming Back
8. Ready For The Weekend

'Ready For The Weekend' may be his worst song let alone his worst top 3 single. I liked it at the time but it had already aged badly within a few months of its release.

The rest of these are mostly really good, 'Let's Go' is another one that maybe hasn't aged super well and I'm not a huuuge fan of 'This Is What You Came For' but I love all the others, gone with 'How Deep Is Your Love' as the best.

How Deep Is Your Love (w/ Disciples) (favourite)
Feel So Close
Let's Go (feat. Ne-Yo)
Bounce
This is What You Came For (feat. Rihanna)
Ready for the Weekend
The Girls
We'll Be Coming Back (feat. Example) (least favourite, by quite some distance)

Tough choosing between that top 2, both big highlights and I've got a soft spot for Let's Go despite it's total genericness, Bounce still sounds so great too. Quite a clear divide next, the older ones haven't aged as well, was never particularly impressed by This is What You Came For and We'll Be Coming Back is one of the most anonymous things he's ever done.

This slander to 'We'll Be Coming Back'!! That was pretty close to being my pick for the best.

My top & bottoms leading the respective votes!

They're ALL great tracks though, I love most of them and like all of them.

"How Deep Is Your Love" is possibly Calvin's very best single, it was the "Love The Way You Lie" or "Moves Like Jagger" of 2015 by stalling behind many inferior tracks that were released after a few weeks of build up hype.

I voted "We'll Be Coming Back" as my least favourite of the lot, simply because anything Example has dated really badly. There's just something about him I now find really corny and cringe. Seeing him on panel shows really put me off him before the cheese factor hit as well. I do actually really quite like the song, even still, though.

1 How deep is your love (10/10) one of his best, if not the best
2 Feel so close (8/10) love this

the rest are just ok/not so good
3 Ready for the weekend (6/10), still sounds good to me
4 This is what you came for (5/10), it's a pity they forgot to write a chorus, could have been great but it's not
5 Bounce (5/10), just ok
6 Girls (4/10), too repetitive/lazy
7 Let's go (3/10), too much Ne-yo
8 We'll be coming back (3/10), too much Example

His #2 peaking singles are all 10/10 too, TIWYCF isn't something I go out of my way to listen to much but I think it's still suffering from overexposure like the rest of 2016's big hits laugh.gif

01 Feel So Close
02 We'll Be Coming Back
03 Bounce
04 Let's Go
05 How Deep Is Your Love
06 This Is What You Came For
