Portia De Rossi is joining Scandal S4 and Lucy Lawless SHIELD S2. No word on what nature the roles will be though.

Masters of Sex and Ray Donovan renewed by Showtime for third seasons. YAY for MoS, was afraid the move might have hurt it, but it's actually doing just as well and I guess the critical love has helped a lot too, especially for Lizzie.

The Strain renewed for a 13 episode second season by FX.

Rectify has been renewed for a third season by SundanceTV.

AMC have renewed Halt and Catch Fire for a second season, which is actually a bit of a surprise.

HBO also renewed The Leftovers for a second season a few weeks ago as well.

Yes it is, I think they are keeping up with US pace too, which is nice given they are usually like a YEAR behind.

I keep meaning to check it out. Saw the first season and was intrigued because of Lizzy Caplan but never managed to get round to watching it.

Oh you MUST, it's really well done. It takes a few episodes to get going, but it's got such well rounded out characters and it's a lot more than just 'grumpy man falls for hot woman but has to woo her' which it seemed to me before the show began.

Also, the title sequence. Amazing.

Also ALISON JANNEY gets her tits out (such as they are).

So many of the shows I'm watching are ending this year, I can't handle it!

Cougar Town, Parenthood, Parks & Recreation, Glee, Lost Girl, Nurse Jackie, also possibly Community and The Good Wife sad.gif

I couldn't get into Parenthood, I gave it a good 3 seasons but I ditched it.
Cougar Town, Parks & Rec, Glee and probably Community are done after this season, better get some new shows!
Good Wife I can see maybe lasting another season and done after that.
Parenthood has always been on the teeter too.

Parenthood is hardly quality TV, but it's such a guilty pleasure. I love family dramas.

This year I'm watching Stalker and Selfie, but I don't think they'll last too long kink.gif.

New Girl premièred to a 1.7 and Mindy got a 1.3. That's a big OUCH! for them.

Everybody get ready for my weekly renewal/cancellations prediction threads and ratings round up starting this Saturday.

FOX look like they've made so many bad decisions that they're in the situation NBC had a few years ago, who still haven't recovered. Hope for their sake that Gotham can stablise and hit solid numbers. I think we're going to see some really poor numbers this year for broadcasts, hope they find some way to incorporate DVR etc. in to the viewing figures, otherwise there will be some embarrassing numbers come 2015!

I can't wait to see the ratings for Mysteries of Laura. I'm expecting a 1.9 or so for the premiere, with it falling to a 1.2 or so after 2/3 episodes.

I think there'll be multiple scripted shows on all four networks dipping below 1.0 between Sunday to Thursday. It's going to be ugly. I'm not sure how network TV can respond to those kinds of figures tbh.
