32 Stepped On My J'z | 4.76

31 And I | 5.79

At #32 is Stepped On My J'z, the third single to be released from Nelly's 2008 'Brass Knuckles' album. It was originally meant to be the second single from the album following 'Party People', however 'Body On Me' was generally favoured better and charted early so this was pushed to third. It was performed at the BET awards with Ciara and Jermaine Dupri in 2008 but failed to set the charts alight, only charting at #90 in the US Hot 100! It failed to chart at all in the UK. I'm not surprised, the song is a hot mess and by far the worst single Ciara has ever put her name to.

At #31 is And I, the fourth single to be released from Ciara's debut album 'Goodies', after a treble threat of three huge hits in Goodies, 1,2 Step and Oh!, it seemed like Ciara was destined to gain another big hit with this. Ciara pushed for this to become an official single, the label was unhappy as they originally wanted 'Next To You' to be the next single. At the time of release, she was at the height of her popularity, especially in the US where both 'Lose Control' and 'Like You' were setting the charts alight, but this failed to do anything and limped in at #96 on the US Hot 100 and failed to chart at all in the UK. It's always been her weakest single by far for me, boring and doesn't go anywhere, her label were right to be unhappy with this choice of single!

How on Earth did they release 'And I' over 'Hotline'? I still don't understand that all these years on.

30 So What | 5.94

29 Like You | 6.26

At #30 is So What, the debut single from one hit wonder Field Mob which sampled Notorious B.I.G's single with Lil Kim Crush On You, it was a Top 10 hit for Ciara & Field Mob - riding on the waves of Like You, Lose Control and her debut era doing well. It was not given a full release in the UK but still managed to chart at #56. It's a fun breezy R&B song that was very typical of the 00's style R&B back then. Nothing groundbreaking, but catchy and fun.

At #29 is Like You, the second single to be released from Bow Wow's fourth album, Wanted - who knew he had so many albums?! As previously mentioned, this was released when Ciara was at her absolute peak and peaked at #03 in the US and #17 in the UK. It remains to be Bow Wow's biggest hit worldwide as well. Pretty similar to 'So What' in that it is a fun breezy R&B song but nothing groundbreaking at all.

28 Speechless | 6.32

27 Can't Leave Em Alone (ft. 50 Cent) | 6.41

At #28 is Speechless, the second single to be taken from her fourth album, Basic Instinct. The song was originally to feature The Dream but ended up as a solo single. It was a huge misfire for her a single and failed to chart anywhere, it's unsurprising, it fails to go anywhere and is a complete dud in Ciara's discography. To think they chose this over Gimmie Dat is just baffling!

At #27 is Can't Leave Em Alone, the third single to be taken from Ciara's second album, The Evolution, this along with That's Right was in contention to be the first WW single, but thankfully they went with Like A Boy instead. The song was a moderate success in the US, charting and peaking at #40, whilst it failed to chart in the UK. It's an okay song but there is much better left on 'The Evolution' - My Love was crying out for a release!

26 Never Ever (ft. Jeezy) | 6.47

25 Promise Ring (Tiffany Evans ft. Ciara) | 6.55

At #26 is Never Ever, the second single from her third album, Fantasy Ride. The song heavily samples the R&B classic If You Don't Know Me by Now by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes and features rapper Jeezy (then known as Young Jeezy). It underperformed in the US, only reaching #66 on the Hot 100 and failed to chart at all in the UK.

At #25 is Promise Ring, a single by R&B singer Tiffany Evans, a contestant from the US reality series Star Search, whose alumni also include Britney Spears and Destiny's Child. She didn't quite a achieve the shame success as those artists though, with this only reaching #1 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100, although she was still releasing music in 2018 according to her Wikipedia page! The song itself is a cutesy slice of 00s R&B, not too dissimilar to the music that Ciara herself was releasing a couple of years before this, although it sounds very dated now.

No major losses so far! A few cute songs, but nothing hugely memorable.

24 Go Girl (ft. T-Pain) | 6.73

23 Sorry | 6.97

22 Get Up (R3HAB ft. Ciara) | 7.47

21 Dose | 7.55

At #24 is Go Girl featuring T-Pain. The song was intended as the lead single from Ciara's third studio album, Fantasy Ride but that later went to Love, Sex, Magic as it only charted at #78 in the US. It's a fun song but definetly not one of Ciara's strong points.

At #23 is Sorry, which was due to be the lead single from her fifth studio album which was then named One Woman Army, unfortunately it failed to chart at all and that and it's follow up Got Me Good were scrapped in favour of Body Party which lead the self titled fifth studio album; Ciara. It's a nice slow jam but very Ciara by numbers and much like 'Go Girl', Ciara is capable of much better.

At #22 is one of two Ciara songs named Get Up, this time in the form of a feature for Dance act R3HAB. It never got a real push and only managed to chart at #35 on the Belgium Dance charts (!!!). It features on the Deluxe version of Jackie but is largely forgotten for the most part. I'm surprised to see it this high, I didn't think anyone really knew it!

At #21 is one of Ciara's more recent singles in Dose[/i], the follow up to comeback single [b]Level Up, which sadly failed to chart anywhere and remains an underrated bop! It got overshadowed by 'Level Up' and didn't really manage to do anything unfortunately sad.gif

Very late to the party but listened to her Jackie album a few weeks ago and it’s a really solid album!
