Carrying on from the closed thread.
It always seem to be with Van Gaal two steps forward and then two steps back. Link to the previous Barclays Premier League thread: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=179129 |

It's what happens when you turn in to Liverpool without even noticing It's so funny, it hurts! Thought West Brom played really well. The sending off didn't help matters of course, but think they would have struggled regardless whether it was 11 or 10 players on the pitch! Fault for me lies with the board and David Gill. |

Funny, as we're both pretty poop, but our commercial prospects are streets ahead of all the other Premier League clubs across the world. Europa League on Thursday.. few years ago this would have been the CL, how the mighty have fallen |

Hilarious at Pardews usual tactic of reflecting how poor his team were by claiming it was an awful decision for the penalty - he even tried to say it was so late in the game it shouldn't have been given.

haha. The future still looks bright for United with these young players breaking through. They're all average though, none of them stick out. Admittedly it's difficult in a struggling side. Funny thing is, if Mourinho takes over none of these youth players will be anywhere near the starting XI. |

Timothy Fosu-Mensah has played really well these past few games, Rashford as well has played really well apart from the West Brom game, Joe Riley had a good game in the Europa League match to. I'm sure there's some more hidden gems in the U21 team that have a lot of potential also. |

It's rare they go on to be mainstream regulars. |

Newcastle have apparently approached Rafa Benitez to become their new manager... before sacking Steve McClaren.
Would be quite amusing to see him manage in the Championship I suppose. |

Can't imagine him staying if Newcastle got relegated. That said if they do hire Benitez, I really can't see them going down. |

In one of the least surprising developments this season, Steve McClaren has now been sacked. Here's hoping Newcastle can't find anyone to take over, even for the rest of the season.

I can't see both Sunderland and Newcastle staying up though. So someone's good managerial record is gonna take a hit.

Crystal Palace could easily go down. Diabolical form. Very true but they would only need 1 or 2 wins I'd say to be assured of safety (and any team can fluke them on their day). It would also need 2 of the bottom 4 teams to scale over 8 points and none are in any good form. |

An ideal bottom three would be Sunderland, Newcastle and Aston Villa. That appears unlikely now.
Norwich seem doomed. Sunderland look ready to scrap and I think will stay up. All hinges on the derby this month. Unlikely that Palace or anyone else will go down, but there's always one team dragged into it and they're on a shocking run. |
