Love Never Leave You, such a summer anthem! Rendez-Vu is absolutely amazing, a brilliant follow up to Red Alert, both quite eccentric dance songs in different ways.

And just leaving my weekly for Better Off Alone although next week's retro will recall the ultimate heartbreak. Increasing in sales for three weeks in a row was pretty much unheard of in 1999 though so Alice Deejay will always have that comfort.

Maroon 5 (formerly known as Kara's Flowers) is an American pop rock band that originated in Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 1994 as Kara's Flowers while its members were still in high school. The original members of the band were: Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick; they signed to Reprise Records and released an album, The Fourth World, in 1997. I love this and I get why many can't understand why 'Maps' was chosen as the lead single over it. Nice change of sound for them. I do like 'Maps' as well though, even if it's more generic, by-the-numbers Maroon 5.

Good to see Maroon 5 make it, wasn't sure they would. Love this. Not overly keen on Maps, I don't want that direction for them. They need to bring it back to the style of Songs About Jane, they've had their commercial sellout success, and this is the closest to SAJ they've come in years.

'It Was Always You' was surprisingly inoffensive though I was distracted while listening to it trying to think what the melody of the verses reminded me of. (It was Robbie Williams' 'Bodies', which is probably just me as usual). Put it in the 'possibly Maroon 5's best song' category but it wasn't exactly brilliant.

The Vamps are a British pop band formed in 2012. Rather than the usual bombast or snooze-inducing "relaxation music," the U.K. six-piece known as Clean Bandit mash classical music and pop forms for an airy and dreamy yet driven sound that's like the chamber music version of house music. The core four-piece of the group were known as the Chatto Quartet, a classically trained string quartet that performed J.S. Favoring a naughty schoolboy look that makes him seem even younger than his already tender years (22 when his first major-label album was released), Scottish artist, producer, and remixer Calvin Harris has a similarly youthful and forward-looking approach to his music. Skipping the usual apprenticeship in the clubs or on indie labels, Harris went from posting his own D.I.Y. electroclash music online through MySpace and similar sites, to signing with the multinational giant EMI almost in a single step. A short time later, he was producing material for Kylie Minogue, Dizzee Rascal, and Rihanna.

Born on January 17, 1984, in the southern Scotland city of Dumfries, Harris was first attracted to electronic music in his teens and was recording bedroom demos by 1999. Two of these songs, "Da Bongos" and "Brighter Days," were released as a 12" club single and CD-EP by the Prima Facie label in early 2002 under the artist name Stouffer. With that single to his credit, the still teenaged Harris moved from Scotland to London, but as a very small fish in one of the world's largest and most competitive ponds, Harris floundered; only one of his songs was released during his time in London, "Let Me Know" with vocalist Ayah on the Unabombers' 2004 live-mix CD Electric Soul, Vol. 2.

Returning home to Dumfries, Harris began posting homemade solo recordings to his MySpace page. An A&R representative from EMI liked what he heard and signed Harris to the label in 2006. Coldplay are a British rock band formed in 1996 by lead vocalist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland at University College London. Lodewijk Fluttert (born 8 October 1991), known by the stage name of Bakermat, is a Dutch musical artist and record producer from the village of Markelo in Overijssel, now based in Utrecht. He is signed to the Soulmax agency. His music is a mix of electronic, house and techno music produced in a minimalist manner and with further jazz and soul influences.

Fluttert started his musical career while studying psychology at Utrecht University and moonlighting as a DJ in his spare time. He released his two EPs in 2012 called Zomer EP and Vandaag EP. The title track from the latter, consisting of an integrated sample of the "I Have a Dream" speech by Martin Luther King, Jr., charted as a single in the Netherlands, Belgium and France in late 2012 and spring 2013. In 2014, it was rereleased by Sony becoming a major charting hit particularly in Germany and Austria.

His 'Uitzicht' EP was released in 2013 on Soundplate Records. It has appeared in several iTunes charts including top 50 positions in the overall chart in Belgium and the Netherlands. Not enjoying the negative effect streaming is having on this either.

It is completely wonderful and joyous - so much better than Changes and Jubel. I have loved it for nearly 2 years now though, so am thrilled to see it in the charts.

The fault in our stars is such an amazing film and everyone see it if you haven't already. I saw it at an advance screening teo months ago and it was amazing. Also Jameela is isn't forthcoming, it was released one and a half months ago

Really don't understand how this became such a hit. I mean, it's probably going to pull a 'Touch' and have no longevity but I'm happy to see something other than the standard deep-house formula impact the chart in such a way
