Brentford at 8/1 sensible? I think they overperformed last season...

Watford going straight back up, I don't think so. Y'know they should have kept that Pearson guy, he'd have got them promoted. Bourno sans Howe doesn't even seem like real life so they've no chance. Norwich? I could make a strong case for them!

I think Norwich will get promoted although it would be good if they didn't, without Eddie Howe in charge I don't think Bournemouth will get promoted anytime soon and I wouldn't be surprised if they get relegated again in the next few years. It would be nice if Brentford get promoted this time after narrowly missing out last season. I expect Luton Town to go down to League One.

Luton might do ok if they can keep Nathan Jones as manager, he turned them around when joining last season after they looked dead and buried. he also had them massively on the up when top of League One (after 2 promotions in 4 years) and they flailed when Hareford took over and he left for Stoke.

It'd be unusual for a relegated team not to be amongst the six favourites for promotion. Norwich look by far the best placed of the three to return but they were so bad last year they might have a bit of a hangover without too many changes, and Bournemouth will definitely have the capability and cash to improve - I don't think they need to spend to replace their two big losses so far either. Travers and Cook/Kelly/Mepham is plenty for this league. Watford, who knows with how they're run.

Brentford are like Leeds a season ago, probably should've gone up and were so far better than the rest of the division that stayed down that top 2 should be very possible. It all depends on their outgoings, it's not hard to see at least 6/7 of that team being in demand and they often take a while to get going as this happens to them every season. I'd fear Bristol City and Joe Williams is the signing of the division without question ,but never quite know when appointing the assistant how it'll work out.

Surely Brentford are in the best possible position? They might lose a couple of their job players, but they are driven by data and analytics. Surely if they lose anyone of BMW theyare in a good position still? They are my favourites to go back up. I think Bournemouth will do OK too, not sure I would back them to go straight back up. But they a good keeper in Travers and I agree they have a few players who should do well in the Championship. If Solanke can do the business at Championship level they look good value. I think Cardiff could do OK this season as well.

I misread 'first team manager' as 'first manager' for a second there and thought well that's not very optimistic laugh.gif

Ten EFL Clubs will be permitted to admit spectators into Sky Bet League matches this weekend as part of the ongoing ‘return of fans’ pilot programme.

As per the current guidance, crowds will be capped at a capacity of 1,000 as discussions continue with the Government about return for supporters’ in greater numbers post October 1, 2020.

The move to extend the programme follows a successful pilot staged at Cambridge United last week when fans were in attendance at a professional football match for the first time since March.

The confirmed games for the weekend of 19/20 September, 2020 are as follows:

Championship

Luton Town v Derby County
Norwich City v Preston North End
Middlesbrough v AFC Bournemouth

Luton with the winner? To make it 2-1 to them against Derby County.

Norwich equalise against Preston, now 2-2.
