I'm not really happy with this collaboration, since I know what happened with Charli after she got a hit with Fancy, I'm afraid the same could happen with MØ as well.

Mø is amazing. Her newish song with Eliphant - One more is constantly on repeat for me
at the moment. At Bestival last month she crowd-surfed and ended up standing on my shoulders to sing part of one of her songs. What a moment.

to these ears it's a clear and total rehash as well. though my expectations were always non-existent.

I've found this way more instant than Fancy Wasn't keen on that at ALL at first (lol and it's now my song of the year). Most of her singles have ended up being growers for me, disliked Work on first few listens and Change Your Life was quite 'meh' at first too.

I agree with Joseph, it's quite instant in comparison to Fancy which I really wasn't sure about at first. I really like it! However, I also agree that the chorus is VERY similar to that of Fancy. I'm guessing that's why it no longer features Charli, because it would have just been TOO similar.
I look forward to a video.

This is so good AGAIN. Grew a little tired of 'Black Widow' so it's nice to have a refreshing version of that again.
Definitely getting the 'Fancy' vibes too, but that is no bad thing. A nice mix of elements from both songs~

Surely the fact people find this "more instant than 'Fancy'" is down to the fact it is just pretty much a new version of 'Fancy', so people are used to it already somewhat? Feeling quite familiar and similar to that song, whilst also sounding new and fresh. I like it a fair amount, but tbh, 'Fancy' sounds more wholesome and I get a fuller feeling out of it than I do 'Beg For It' atm. I prefer 'Iggy SZN' for now, but really liking this still.

Most accurate description of anything ever. I like this though (but that's probably because I like both of those songs).
I was going to suggest that exact same thing! But you worded it better than I could have done in my hungover state.
I thought 'Fancy' was a complete mess on the first listen but like most others ended up adoring it, so that's probably made this soundalike more instant than that was for me, despite not being quite on the same level.

I absolutely love this AND Iggy Szn BUT I'm kinda confused in what's the point in this whole reissue thing.
First it won't even work as a proper reissue charts-wise because of it not having all the tracks from the original album so it won't help The New Classic get any certifications (when it could've easily happened in a few countries had that been the case), it will probably actually make people stop buying it altogether considering all the popular songs/singles are also on this new version...
then a fan questions Iggy about this and she says she doesn't care because it's about making a cohesive project and sales are sales even if they're not counting on the same project/pile or whatever but then again she goes and includes Bounce on this tracklist too, a song she didn't even want to include on her debut and in fact doesn't really fit with most of her other material, and I don't think this is a label thing either because I don't see this reissue even selling that much as a different project so it's just weird to me. (?)
Not to mention seems like there won't be any more promo at all than she already did besides the rumored AMAs performance and the video for Beg For It... and they seem to be ignoring the rest of the world even more now including the UK/Europe, like when is Beg For It even being released outside North America the reissue is already dropping in less than a month I don't think people are THAT thirsty for new Iggy if anything it will only make her constant presence a bit saturated and could hurt her in the long run no? (but then again US radios already seem to be eating up the new single :s) and I'm pretty sure her team knows it, I mean Black Widow literally just happened and it was a big hit plus it's not like she couldn't have just dropped other song from the original version of the album and see how that goes before doing all of this new stuff + potential new features on other people's songs could also keep her "around".
I will definitely buy the project and I'm very excited for the new music though but I wish there was a proper explanation/reasoning as to why this is happening (seemingly in a random way) now!

Oh well at least I'm loving all these new tracks!
This track still has time to snatch at least a top 40 spot eventually in the UK considering the video hasn't been shot yet like I said if it's real good though!

I never could get into this. Fancy was one of my favorite tracks of this year and I have almost 100 plays on it but I think I've only listened to this one out of choice in the past month. I was hoping it would grow but it just sounds so inoffensively bland IGGY SZN has so much better, at least it has some variety.

Or you know, collaborate with an artist that is widely accepted by the pop communuty (hence why she is planning to work with Britney Spears.

lol the reach. the actual "hip hop community" doing things nowadays isnt perched on their Twitter accounts or giving interviews to Vladtv bothered with Iggy's pop/rap crossover bops yknow? she's gotten praise as much as shes gotten hate, its just more "entertaining" to promote hate as usual so thats why the press (and I assume people like you) focuses on that side of the Iggy debate more (clickbait)
this (Beg for It) wouldve easily been an even bigger hit in the US had she released a good video on time (possibly top 10 with streams) - I do agree shes killing her momentum with a string of bad choices that have been happening to her career music wise since this dumb "reissue" idea was announced (which was a complete non-event worldwide for obvious reasons including the complete lack of a proper release campaign)
and what type of bs with the Britney statement, at best the only thing she'll probably get from a collab with her is a possible good Hot 100 peak thanks to a frontloaded first week and thats it or am I missing something

I honestly think a Britney collab would spark interest and do well sales-wise (which is pretty much what matters), recent chart success aside (and even then, "Work Bitch" peaked higher than BFI on Billboard), but other than that, post-debut success would be up to Iggy anyways.
But... I'd rather this not turn into a fan war, so I'll leave it at that.

I like Iggy so your assumptions are wrong. And I stick by what I've said as your post leaves little room for a constructive conversation. I only brought up Britney because of there upcoming collaboration.
But, really. Let's not compare the two when it comes to sales. Iggy is at an extreme disadvantage.
