New single from Gwen Stefani called "Let Me Reintroduce Myself", which was released on December 7.
Looking forward to this, was only just listening to Sweet Escape album yesterday
Please keep Blake away.
It's coming.
Officially announced. Out Monday.
omg
please be good
I still have flashbacks of Spark the Fire
What a weird time to release the single!? Why not wait until after Christmas when Christmas songs are not hogging the charts? Not that I expect this to chart...
Out tomorrow at 5pm. GMT.
Can't wait!
Please be good 😬
LOVE IT
What a great idea for a comeback! Me likeyyyyy. I missed you Gwen <3
She's still got it hope it can at least do something, somewhere.
A bit of a basic bop I guess - will obviously do nothing and probably a bit deserved
Kinda sounds like a grat to do what the title says!
Hm. I am still not sure what to think of it. The lyrics seem to be a bit too cheesy / on the nose for me to really like.
This is very classic Gwen meets Rock Steady No Doubt. Not bad at all!
It's doing terrible on Spotify. TBH, I expected more from her.
Didn't realise this is already out! Completely out of the radar... must listen
Music video out at 4pm. GMT.
The music video is out.
It's cute I guess. I still don't see this as a hit, but I guess as a literal re-introduction it's ok.
Crazy how she still looks EXACTLY the same as she did 16 years ago!
I really like this song and the concept of the video, although it looks pretty cheap.
I can't see anybody being interested who isn't already a Gwen fan though.
She seriously doesn't age, when people compliment how great J Lo looks, Gwen needs to be brought up at the same time!
I hope we get a couple more 'Early Winter's & 'Wonderful Life's on the album.
hasn't she said there isn't really an album yet...
Well that's upsetting.
I said somewhere else this reintroduced me to streaming her back catalogue, which is what she made it for, I suppose, espexially given the lyrics. She is over as a pop force unfortunately just like Fergie, but they were yuuge in the mid 00s.
I couldn't find a thread for The Sweet Escape, but it's being pressed on vinyl for the very first time! Not sure if anyone here is interested, but just in case, it's available on Urban Outfitters: https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shop/gwen-stefani-the-sweet-escape-limited-lp?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=070&searchparams=q%3Dgwen%2520stefani&type=REGULAR&size=ONE%20SIZE&quantity=1
Out Thursday.
Omg this SLAPS
Good song. It actually reminds me a bit of M.I.A. - Paper Planes!
I love gwen but I think this will have to grow on me.
This is a bit of a messy song but that's kinda why I like Gwen? I'm sure plenty will hate it though
I want to love this but I just hear Hoedown Throwdown.
Gwen, you’re capable of so much better 😩
Sorry but this is rubbish.
This feels like the Spark the Fire to Let Me Reintroduce Myself (Baby Don't Lie being a promising start to the era, and STF derailing the era)
I... Love it though. 🤣
The verses were promising and then… That chorus.
This is awful Gives me Hoedown Throwdown vibes lmao.
The new single is really good, I’m loving it on a first listen 😍
It sounds like a nursery rhyme!
It's not quite 'Spark This Fire' bad though.
it really sounds like 'let me reintroduce myself' in parts.
A new version of "Slow Clap" with Saweetie will be out this Friday.
why would her label waste the money
Oh awesome, bring it on
Okay I really wasn't big on Slow Clap when I first heard it a few weeks back. I've revisited it with the Saweetie version and it's REALLY growing - it's so much fun and Saweetie's verse is brilliant *.*
I had no idea she was back and im kinda here for it.
The slow clap remix especially
I'll take this as my proper version to listen to because the addition of Saweetie makes the song a proper song for me. Definitely gives it legs.
Saweetie’s part is so good
She's in the cover of Paper Magazine. The album will be out sometime this year, although the tracklist and the album's title is still undecided.
It's starting to grow on me.
'Cause it's true, babe, true, babe
I'm sleeping better next to you, babe, you, babe
You're something sweet, something true, babe, true, babe
You do it better than they do, babe, uh-huh
'True Babe' is a tune. I've liked all three singles so far, it's gearing up to be a decent album!
Oh yeah, I guess so, I didn't twig that they were released two years ago, I thought they were last year. Time flies!
