 Unovia is riding the waves of success unseen since late 2011-early 2012, with a 4th top 20 in a row! Baby K's trashy Italian swag zoomed up the keyboard with two 18s from Taahino and Republic Of Adonia, finishing 3 places shy of her fellow Italian Annalisa but achieving 9 more points than her! |

BJSC 87 SHOWCASE
Below are the potentials for BJSC 87 due to kick off in Pupok in the coming days, for visitors to this showcase to judge for themselves and help in the decision making! Twinnie - Home Twinnie is a newcomer to the music scene; she is best known as Porsche McQueen in Hollyoaks! Her second single Home is a breezy pop track with country influences that builds nicely to a rousing finish with a clear, strong vocal throughout. It is already beginning to make waves on Unovian charts and radio. Andie Case - Coming Around Andie Case is a Youtube singer best known for her cover of Want To Want Me that made waves on iTunes. But here she is with an original song - the striking Coming Around. The initially subtle production sets up for a dynamite finish with Andie's powerhouse vocals towards the end. The song has been a slow burner but is now making waves on Unovian charts and radio. Miranda Lambert - Platinum Finally it's one of the most popualr artists in Unovia, country queen Miranda Lambert, with the popular title track of her 2014 album which hit #1 in Unovia and, fittingly, went platinum. The slightly comedic and tongue in cheek lyrics pair well with the unapologetically country-pop sound of the song, but Unovian panelists fear the country sound is always risky within the contest. |

Well I'm obviously not exactly the target market for any of these but I've listened to everyone else's potentials so why not! x
'Home' > 'Coming Around' >>> 'Platinum' I enjoyed these more than I was expecting from the descriptions  The Twinnie song is actually pretty good, probably wouldn't vote for it or anything but I quite like the folksiness ~ kind of vaguely reminds me of the Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros song of the same name. 'Coming Around' is decent enough and probably one that will solidly appeal to the usual pop voters. And... yeah the accent is putting me off again on the last one.

Finally a win for Unovia!
After two 3rd placers and 14 top 10s, Unovia has WON a contest after 66 attempts! *.* Italian singer Francesca Michielin garnered 321 points, finishing ahead of Ultraviolenceland and Aeroche, for her wonderful song Vulcano which fuses the beautiful Italian language with tropical esque beats to make a pop stormer. Due to this, the historic 100th contest is due to be held in Unovia very soon, watch this space  Liam Unocastellia, head of the BJSC committee, tonight spoke at a press conference thanking the 38 nations who voted for Vulcano. |

Ricki-Lee returns to represent Unovia on home soil
After a strong showing last year with her stunning ballad Mirage (8th, 233pts) during Unovia's 50th contest, Australian popstar Ricki-Lee Coulter was invited back to represent Unovia for the 100th overall Buzzjack Song Contest, and obliged. A former winner of the contest for Hendinia with Raining Diamonds, Coulter hopes to do well again this month. She brings to Buzzjack her 2014 hit All We Need Is Love, a dance-pop anthem of togetherness and acceptance, perfectly representing Coulter's ties to the LGBT community with its video and message. "I am thrilled to be a part of this milestone contest, I got to host the opening ceremony and now I get to actually compete in this absolute institution again! I hope that the world embraces my message of love and hope and loves the song as much as Unovia does," Coulter said after her entry was released. |

Seeing as we're gonna be celebrating the 10th anniversary of BJSC soon I've decided to do a top 100 of my fave entries since BJSC XXXII when I joined the contest
I'll start later this week, excluding my own as well as anything that went on to become, or was, a UK hit (so like top 40 or so). This isn't based on points necessarily just how I feel.
