HERE WE GO! It's our first results, the bottom 10...
 80. Jack Branning (0.30) Run: 36-47-X-80- The sperminator is officially our least favourite EastEnders character of 2017! He spent the majority of 2017 mourning the loss of Ronnie after her death of New Year's Day, along with Roxy, and the difficulty of raising his three, later two kids (Charlie came back to snatch Matthew). He later hired Norwegian Nanny Ingrid and tried to sex her too, but didn't. He then kicked off after he realised Max deceived him and disowned him in Max's big Christmas downfall. 79. Tom Bailey (1.85) Run: X-X-X-79- A stalker of Michelle who she happened to keep bumping into on the tube (like that would ever happen!!) and later the sisterhood of Michelle, Sharon, Denise and Karen (random right?) banished him from Walford forever. 78. Riley Taylor (1.90) Run: X-X-X-78- Often visits his dad. 77. Madison Drake (1.90) Run: X-X-X-77- One of Bex's two bullies. Madison was always the slightly dumb one who just went along with whatever the brains of the bullying, Alexandra, decided. 76. Chatham Taylor (2.00) Run: X-X-X-76- The other one who often visits his dad. 75. Hugo Browning (2.00) Run: X-X-X-75- Hugo made surprisingly few appearances after initially first appearing following the bus crash and being the mastermind behind the gentrification of Walford. Once James Willmott-Brown was re-introduced, he seemingly was dropped from the storyline apart from the odd appearance to join in the gloating of their victory. 74. Jorgen Christensen (2.05) Run: X-X-X-74- Denise's tutor during Denise's riveting and gripping GCSE storyline. It turned out he helped her to get a GCSE in English. 73. Alexandra D'Costa (2.30) Run: X-X-X-73- The other of Bex's bullies and definitely the ringleader of the pack. She was slightly more developed as a character than Madison but it was never quite clear why she acted like that. Once they burnt Louise, they just left the show without any follow up. 72. Ricky Mitchell (2.30) Run: X-X-X-72- Bloody Sam dumping this brat back in the show :') He hasn't really done much apart from be a little nuisance and clearly being a product of Jack's upbringing referring to Ronnie as 'Auntie Ronnie' but Roxy as 'Amy's mum'... 71. Danny Mitchell (2.50) Run: X-X-X-71- A pointless return for Ronnie & Roxy's death at the start of the year. He spent most of the time clinging on to Glenda before trying to profit from Jack and getting banished from the square by Glenda. |

Jack was truly awful last year so I'm glad to see we've collectively condemned him like that. The big question is how the hell is he still on the show?!

Also towards the shet end of proceedings are the following...
 70. Robbie Jackson (2.50) Run: X-X-X-70- Another absolutely pointless return that nobody asked for. Seriously why :s Robbie randomly returned to the show as market inspector. Since then, he fell out with most of the traders except Donna, who he has a weird love/hate relationship with, and then later resigned as market inspector to return to his old job as roadsweeper. Dot's cat also hates him. 69. Derek Harkinson (2.50) Run: X-X-X-69- No one really likes him clearly. Well, apart from Bal who randomly gave him a 7?! 68. Johnny Carter (2.70) Run: X-X-13-68- Yet another pointless return, it seems he was brought back purely so that the Carters could have another of their children around. He didn't do much in 2017 - he slept with Ben Mitchell, did some exams, got shot by Ted and pulled the same face in every scene. Thankfully he's now left (unless your Joseph who dragged up his average by giving him a 10 lol) (where is the taste). A pretty huge fall from his position in the last rate (though that was of course with Sam Strike as the actor). Surprisingly, this won't be the biggest fall of the rate either! 67. Ted Murray (2.90) Run: X-X-X-67- Poundland Les is slightly ahead of the guy he shot. Following his arrival, him and Joyce were pretty low key until the shooting incident, when it turned out he still has some old war wounds left mentally. Not a particularly interesting or exciting character for sure. 66. James Willmott-Brown (3.00) Run: X-X-X-66- Kathy's rapist made a shock return in 2017, with a classic EastEnders big build up and cliffhanger. However, that was probably his best moment with resulting hilarious "threatening" behaviour and poor acting ensuing until his departure, when Fi abandoned him in a home following a stroke at Christmas. 65. Preston Cooper (3.10) Run: X-X-X-65- The less said about Preston, the better. Awful actor, awful character and awful storyline. Thankfully, he wasn't around in the show for too long and was send packing by Michelle back to America. 64. Mick Carter (3.10) Run: X-X-04-64- What a fall from grace for Mick!! I think this reflects the fact that Mick used to be refreshing and made a great coupling with Linda for his first couple of years. But things got dreary very quickly. This last year, he has been pretty awful and shoehorned into as many scenes as possible. We've seen his struggle over The Vic's finances after being pretty awful to Lee, being one step away from shagging Whitney and endless breaking up/making up with Linda. 63. Joyce Murray (3.15) Run: X-X-X-63- Poundloud Pam finishes pretty low here (with proper Pam still to come!). Joyce has been a pretty odd addition to EastEnders, with her husband Ted, as she's done nothing really of note until Ted shot Johnny and she took the blame. She might connect with more people if she didn't mumble all of her lines. I don't expect we'll see Joyce around for much longer. Especially as Pam always shows up her when she makes her occasional reappearances. 62. Konrad Topolski (3.15) Run: X-X-X-62- Shirley's Polish love interest puts in a decent showing considering he was pretty much just a supporting character for a few episodes. I quite liked his and Shirley's relationship and it's a shame he didn't stick around for longer. It's nice seeing other cultures represented in the show too! 61. Moose (3.30) Run: X-X-X-61- Despite Lee leaving the show, Moose had continued to appear into 2017. He made a comeback to tell Whitney that Lee had moved on and wanted a divorce, before returning again to try and win Whitney off Woody. Personally, I thought Moose has been the most likeable of Lee's friends who appeared but they sort of destroyed him in his last appearance. I doubt we will see Moose again, unless Lee returns, but you never know! |
