Soz, I was very drunk last night and have a raging hangover so couldn't really check the scores earlier.
We have 1 non-voters, Bubblelands. They did attempt to vote however by sending me only their 12pointer, but failed to complete their set after multiple reminders, so therefor get a 33% deduction. We have our final 40, stay tuned for the results tonight x |

Does anyone remember the BBC1 Rave Ident?
Well someone calling themselves State One made that into a trance hit... which made the dizzy heights of #62 in September 2003 - it deserved FAR better. This post has been edited by Doctor Blind: 14th August 2016, 03:11 PM |

Ooh yes, blast from the past. Had no idea that was released as well. I guess in the modern age we'll never see this sort of thing chart at all again as things like this lend themselves better to short shelf-life memes or Youtube viral videos now, rather than becoming chart hits. |

Echoing the present Cumulonimbia love. Hopefully it'll qualify, and it's not just me who's a legitimate fan of the song.

Sadly true, although Masterchef Synesthesia (Buttery Biscuit Bass) did make the step up from viral video into a surprise top 40 hit in 2011. |

I'm glad it isn't just me that thinks the Cumulonimbia entry is genuinely enjoyable! Could have done without the nonsense intro though.

I agree with the general comments about Cumulonimbia's entry. It really would have been so much better without that rubbish at the beginning.

the mp3 version doesn't have the nonsense intro in it though(?) just listen to that instead.
would love that to qualify and I think it has a chance too. |

The mp3 version was indeed a lot better, enough to make it a pretty decent entry. I will be keeping it around so I have the BBC News theme in some form in my library.
