He's premiered a little snippet of the new single, 'Ghost Town'! Produced by none other than MAX MARTIN (like the rest of his album).

---

FROM POPJUSTICE:

QUOTE
Part-time bohemian rhapsodist Adam Lambert has posted a clip of his brand new single ‘Ghost Town’. It is precisely the length of an Instagram video.

Obviously the problem with clips like this is that it’s hard to tell if a full song’s going to be good or total nonsense but we’ve heard the full thing and can now clear up any doubt: it’s rubbish. WE’RE JOKING WE’RE JOKING IT’S BRILLIANT.
As we reported earlier this year Adam’s whole new album’s being overseen by Max Martin and the single’s due out in April 21.

That's great news, I've always liked him, such an interesting artist and it's a shame that's he's not very big in the UK, hopefully all that will change with his new material and hopefully gets the success he deserves

Can't wait, Trespassing was the best album of 2012!

This is the last chance for him, his star has faded a lot in the US with Trespassing and his last 3 or 4 singles flopping.

Clearly he has masses of technical ability but for me he has never translated that into a likable sound and his songs have felt dated.

[he also has some of the craziest fans going who have done him no good at all in the US]

FINALLY! He's at least kept a profile with his stint on Glee (which I enjoyed thoroughly), so hopefully his new material will be worth waiting for.

His work with Max has always been great.

Its good hes got a new label. His label were always quite scared to push him as an artist before.

You can't really tell from that snippet whether it will be any good but looking forward to hearing the full thing soon.

Think this is a case of preferring the verses and the middle 8 to the chorus. I mean it sounds current and catchy but it just seems a bit generic?

I actually really like it. The lyrics are solid in the verses and although the chorus is as repetitive as they come, the eerie whistles are enough to compensate. It'll be interesting to see how this does for Adam.

Certainly very different for him, wasn't expecting the chorus to do that! I really like it biggrin.gif

A strange one! Like 2 or 3 songs in one. I like the verses, but I reckon the chorus and disjointedness will probably kill its success on pop. A brave choice though and credit for that.

Hmm... I didn't want Max to be treading (lightly or heavily, it doesn't matter) into this boring dance sound we have going on. It's "ok" though. I do think he'll have FAR stronger on the album. A Max album always has one or two songs which are usually not used as singles at all (or really late into a campaign etc..). So we'll see! But it's "ok" atm. Nothing bad or owt.

Eh, not really taken by this right now. It's good enough I guess but very generic, Adam has so much talent I don't really want him following this boring dance sound.... I agree it's a bit disjointed too, but perhaps it'll grow as I always like Adam.

Really liking it! Solid track, not quite up there with the best from Trespassing but that's a tall order.

This is a very different style for him and not quite what I was expecting. It's not bad - kinda more mature sound and a bit darker. Original High is being released on 15th June according to Amazon UK.
