Yep. It's been announced he's working on his second studio album <3
QUOTE Brandon Flowers of The Killers has confirmed that he plans to release a new solo album in 2015. Source: http://www.nme.com/news/the-killers/79416?...ampaign=killersThe frontman released his first solo record, 'Flamingo', in 2010 and is currently working with Haim and Vampire Weekend producer Ariel Rechtshaid on its follow-up. Speaking to NME in the brand new issue, which is on newsstands now or available digitally, Flowers said: "The record's not done yet, but I'm excited about it... I'm liking it." He also admits that the album is less influenced by his hometown of Las Vegas than 'Flamingo' was. "People are going to interpret it how they will, but there's only a little bit of Vegas in there." Meanwhile, on the subject of Rechtshaid, the frontman admits that their different ways of working have led to the pair butting heads. "He's taking me out of my comfort zone. Normally I make demos and they're pretty similar to how the song ends up. but he'll take a song and be like, 'I hear this'. It's incredible – his palette and his range, what he's able to say. At first we were butting our heads together, but now we're hitting it off." The Killers released greatest hits album 'Direct Hits' in 2013. However, fans can rest assured that Flowers has no plans to end things with the band, saying: "I wanna keep being in this band. I don't think we'll get too morbid about it, I think we wanna keep going." Earlier this month The Killers headlined V Festival in Stafford and Chelmsford – with the band covering Iggy Azalea's 'Fancy' while drummer Ronnie Vannucci performed an interpretive dance. Some of Ariel's work include: QUOTE 2014 Kylie Minogue - Kiss Me Once 2013 Haim - Days Are Gone 2013 Haim - Falling EP 2013 Charli XCX - True Romance 2013 Little Boots - “Satellites” - Nocturnes 2013 Solange Knowles - True EP 2012 No Doubt - Push and Shove 2012 Usher - “Climax” - Looking 4 Myself 010 We Are Scientists - Barbara 2006 Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah --- Very excited! Love 'Flamingo'. |

Ohh. 'Crossfire' is a fantastic song, even if the rest of 'Flamingo' was abit of a let down for me, but something for us Killers fans to look forward to as well as another Christmas single (hopefully).

AWE
SOME Flamingo was AMAZING, every single song has managed to grow on me and I still enjoy listening to it from time to time. If the new album is as good as that, I'd much prefer a Flowers album to a new Killers one! |

His debut was good, not as enjoyable as the Killers albums but nevertheless good. I would prefer a new Killers album but this will keep me happy until it happens. I am delighted the Killers are staying together, they are among my favourite bands around.
Working with Ariel on this new album leaves me slightly hesitant going from the albums listed Ariel has worked on. Kylie Minogue's Kiss Me Once for example was and still is an utter disappointment as was push and shove by No Doubt. |

Coming in MAY apparently! Lead single soon hopefully!
QUOTE The Killers' Brandon Flowers has announced his second solo album, The Desired Effect, with a handwritten note and 30-second clip of a single hand miming piano-playing on his website.
"May 18th, 2015, we will finally achieve The Desired Effect," the singer wrote. "Ariel and I have been collaborating in the studio, working twogether [sic]in the spirit of conversation, contention and at long last, sweet contrition. No one has yet seen or heard the change. But soon, we all will." As previously reported, "Ariel" is Ariel Rechtshaid, who won a Grammy for Producer of the Year in 2014 following his work with Haim, Sky Ferreira and Vampire Weekend on their respective LPs. Most recently, Rechtshaid has gotten a co-writing credit on Madonna's Rebel Heart single "Living for Love." "He's taking me out of my comfort zone," said Flowers in an interview with NME last August. "At first we were butting our heads together, but now we're hitting it off." In the piano clip titled 'KEYS,' Flowers teased an upbeat, piano-driven sound reminiscent of the Springsteen-esque arena-rock sound he has toyed with in his previous work. The Desired Effect will be Flowers' first solo outing since 2010's Flamingo, though there's been no sign of new music from the Killers anytime soon. The band released the greatest hits compilation Direct Hits in 2013 with two new songs on it, but has not released a full album of new music since 2012's Battle Born. In December, fans received the band's yearly Christmas single: a new and silly tune titled "Joel, the Lump of Coal" which they premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The Killers will be headlining the inaugural Kaaboo Festival in San Diego this September alongside No Doubt and Snoop Dogg. Official album cover. I don't like it much, it's too blurry and he looks like he's passing out. I guess that's 'the desired effect'. |

Such a shame. The 'The Desired Effect' font and scheme is amazing. Everything else is poor. Doesn't matter though as I'll still be buying anyway!
