BuzzJack Music Forum _ News and Politics _ Christina Grimmie murdered after concert in Orlando, FL

Posted by: Liаm Jun 11 2016, 07:19 AM

Christina Grimmie has been shot dead at her concert sad.gif She was only 22. I am sat here crying, absolutely love her and it's such an upsetting and awful situation. America really needs to change its laws.

THAT'S HORRENDOUS. OMG. sad.gif That's especially no way for someone to die!

Really liked a couple of her songs. Former Ojnoj entrant too!

Absolutely loved her YouTube channel, and she was incredible on the voice. Such a sad day 😭

So upsetting to wake up and hear this sad.gif RIP heart.gif

Posted by: danG Jun 11 2016, 07:39 AM

I saw she was dead in the iTunes thread and assumed car crash or terminal illness, how shocking that she was shot sad.gif

Posted by: gooddelta Jun 11 2016, 07:59 AM

How very very sad sad.gif

She was a YouTube LEGEND, was so shocked to see this happen cry.gif cry.gif

That is really quite upsetting, I feel empty at the moment. Gun laws in the US are a mess to say the VERY least. Horrible situation and my thoughts go out to those who were close to her. R.I.P Christina sad.gif

Posted by: Silas Jun 11 2016, 08:29 AM

Such a tragedy, so young and yet another victim of gun culture. sad.gif My thoughts go out to her family and to all those who witnessed the horrifying event.

Posted by: Iz~ Jun 11 2016, 08:30 AM

Jesus! That's horrifying news to wake up to. 22 is... my age. And she had some brilliant songs. That's hit hard.

America really needs to change its laws.

Unfortunately, they're never do it, as those stupid gun activists keep whinging about the Second Amemdent and that gun control is allegedly taking away a fundamental right away. Idiots.

Awfully sad news, RIP sad.gif

Posted by: Dangerous Cody Jun 11 2016, 08:35 AM

Apparently this all went down while she was signing autographs, meaning thousands of fans and the band she was touring with, Before You Exit, pretty much saw her die.

I do agree that this is a giant wake-up call for the government to change gun laws in America. All this needs to stop.

I didn't know her very much but to be murdered and at such a young age is very sad news sad.gif I hope the shooter faces the consequences he deserves.

Posted by: *Tim Jun 11 2016, 08:42 AM

Such sad news. Something liek that could literally happen to anyone in the US sadly sad.gif

He committed suicide.

I'm not even familiar with the girl but this is so shocking. sad.gif She was only a matter of days older than me judging by her wiki. ohmy.gif It is unsettling to think that this could happen to anyone in the US (and I guess elsewhere) - just the wrong place at the wrong time. RIP Christina. sad.gif

Posted by: RobS Jun 11 2016, 09:07 AM

I recognise the name but to die like this and so young is horrendous. Thoughts with her family sad.gif

Posted by: djgrafdemon Jun 11 2016, 09:14 AM

So sad to see news like this in the early morning sad.gif and obviously it's hard everytime to hear that someone was shot in... Murrrica.
Such a disgusting situation like being shot at your own gig... nah.
R.I.P. Christina.

Seeing her last tweet being about the concert, and reading on the BBC that her brother was there and saw it (because he tackled the gunman) too..wow, I can't get over how tragic and horrendous of a situation it is :/

RIP

Posted by: Cucumberella Jun 11 2016, 09:35 AM

for gods sake :/ that's disgusting. poor girl

Posted by: HausofKubrick Jun 11 2016, 09:38 AM

Really shocking and disturbing sad.gif

If they haven't changed the gun laws after a man opened fire on a school of young children I don't think they'll change it now. An absolute farce and humanity needs to become ancient laws and traditions but it'll never happen.

If this isn't a wake up call to America to sort tf out I don't know what is.

Well the previous massacres in schools, shops, whatever didnt wake them up so I highly doubt this shooting, as sad as it is, will.

Posted by: Cody Collins Jun 11 2016, 09:51 AM

Humanity honestly just needs one giant reset button

I really hate it when the shooter kills themselves to escape justice! mad.gif

Yeah, the person commiting the crime shouldn't get to choose their fate imo, but at the very least that person is unable to shoot anyone else now.

Posted by: HarryEzra Jun 11 2016, 11:00 AM

Just woke up to the news. What the hell is wrong with some people. This sadly wont be a wake up call for America at all, I mean a school shooting wasn't sad.gif

Poor Girl and her loved ones RIP sad.gif x

Posted by: Silas Jun 11 2016, 11:10 AM

Think this is big enough to warrant it's own thread. Bare with, i'll split the topics.

Psychopaths should be locked away in mental institutes, not roaming around the streets armed. dry.gif

I just don't understand why. The damage of this law has been shown many, many times yet America take no action against it?

Posted by: Rooney Jun 11 2016, 12:18 PM

America won't change their gun laws, unless something absolutely crazy happens. The unfortunate reality is there are too many people who think guns protect people and taking that right away means that they can't protect their family. It's awful, but I can't ever see it happening unless it's a Republican president elected to the White House, who is against private gun ownership. And I cannot see that happening for another generation at least.

She was my idol, my inspiration... I drove all the way to New York City to meet her, one of the best days of my life.

I'm still in shock. RIP.

Posted by: Chez Wombat Jun 11 2016, 06:28 PM

I had no idea who she was, but at that age and that way of dying is just utterly horrible sad.gif

Posted by: Tyler Jun 11 2016, 10:32 PM

This is terrible.

If you think America is willing to change anything regarding its gun laws, please remember an elementary school massacre has taken place and nothing has yet to change. sad.gif

Posted by: No Sleeep Jun 12 2016, 12:30 AM

This is so heartbreaking. And what's even worse is how easily it could've been prevented sad.gif It's so sad seeing her tweets before the concert sad.gif

I knew she was on The Voice but I didn't watch it. I've been listening to her music, she was really good sad.gif

Posted by: Hazza Chapman Jun 12 2016, 12:34 AM

This is very sad to hear and at a very young age as well sad.gif , R.I.P to Christina

This reminds me of when those two journalists were shot dead live on TV in America last year.

Posted by: River Lea Jun 12 2016, 06:04 AM

I'm heartbroken over it. When I heard last night, I pretty much cried the rest of it.

Posted by: Jade Jun 12 2016, 05:43 PM

I knew Christina from The Voice so I was gobsmacked to hear of this news. What an utterly dreadful way to go. sad.gif

Posted by: Hadji Jun 15 2016, 05:39 PM

I've also heard that Adam Levine has financed the funeral which is really good of him

Posted by: Riser Sep 26 2016, 01:23 AM

IHeartRadio paid a special tribute to Christina Grimmie during the IHeartRadio Music Festival over the weekend. It's actually a video from her own channel that was uploaded just after her death, but for an event that puts so much focus on established and legendary artists, I was shocked to see this yet so incredibly moved as I watched it. And I actually hadn't heard her cover of 'I Won't Give Up' before heart.gif

That's lovely <3

Posted by: HarryEzra Sep 26 2016, 01:53 AM
