Only a few times as I have specifically avoided doing this for years (made an exception for Roses because her previous entry was A) featured and B) a DNQ):
BJSC24 Kid Sister/Estelle 'Step' (both entered multiple times before - attempt at cheap artist-based hit #1) BJSC26 Jónsi 'Animal Arithmetic' ('Boy Lilikoi' previously entered by Elëdan) BJSC29 Penguin Prison 'Golden Train' ('The Worse It Gets' previously entered by Liechenstaan but only cos I gave them that song :eyes emoji: ) BJSC30 Spark 'Revolving' ('Shut Out The Moon' previously entered by Botanikka) BJSC33 Savage Skulls/Douster/Robyn 'Bad Gal (Robyn entered multiple times before - attempt at cheap artist-based hit #2) BJSC51 Roses Gabor 'Stars' ('Pharaohs' [SBTRKT feat. Roses Gabor] previously entered by Mdiče) And I suppose you could count Hitstastic in BJSC57 but I only credited him on it to recognise the effort he put into cutting it down to not 7 minutes long, it wasn't actually a proper remix like his previous 'entries'  I did recycle SOHN and Kids Of The Apocalypse from Unknown Pleasures though. The former was probably my cheapest artist since Robyn as he actually won UP not that long before I sent him. And then later won BJSC when he got recycled again. 19th is just as good though  Jónsi (again), Beth Ditto, Joe Goddard, Mike Noyce and Dawn Richard were sort of recycled too in that they'd been entered as members of groups before (Sigur Rós, Gossip, The 2 Bears (entered by MYSELF just two months earlier ~), Bon Iver and Danity Kane respectively). And the other way round I sort of recycled Fake Blood as a member of Machines Don't Care, and I entered Janus Rasmussen as a member of Fura when he'd previously been entered with his other groups BYRTA and Bloodgroup. Think that just about covers all my unoriginality. 15/53 entries partially recycled at a massive push, v inspired otherwise ~ |

Yellow Claw with Shotgun and Till It Hurts Galavant with Tonight and World Of Dreams And 2 of my artists have been entered before Staygold (LIII) was entered by FSR Rontvia (XXIV) Fedde Le Grand (LXII) was entered by Faztickle (VI) |

Only last month when the artist went from second to last place in the semis to a Top 10

I try to avoid it but I don't let it get in the way of sending an absolutely brilliant song. Especially if I'm plagiarizing myself, because it's expected I'd already be a fan of the artist. Done it much less lately as well.
BJSC41 - Nightwish 'Turn Loose The Mermaids' ('Amaranth' and 'The Poet And The Pendulum' (aka. their two best songs; still outraged at the former's performance years later) entered before by Tinnmark & Utopia) BJSC47 - Ruby Frost 'Porcupine' ('Water To Ice' entered by myself before) BJSC48 - dream beats 'Love Stuck' ('Feel 4 U' entered before by Numayania) BJSC51 - Katie Sky 'Only You' ('Sweet Sweet Melody' entered before by Ramrynia) BJSC52 - Jannika B 'Pohjanmaan Tuulia' ('Hulluksi Onnetsa' entered before by Ojnoj) BJSC69 - Amaranthe 'Drop Dead Cynical' ('Amaranthine' entered by myself before) Team Me I recycled from UP, but I think that's about it from there. As for artists under different names, Saint Saviour was entered as featured on Groove Armada's Paper Romance (but uncredited in the Songs Of thread), Archis is basically Dia Frampton renamed and were it not for that rename would have probably been very very cheap of me, and Rachel Taylor was the lead singer of He Is We so also had an 8th place to her name previously. I think that's it, unless I'm missing something. |

I don't think George Maple was credited on 'On & On' at the time, similar to how Melissa Steel wasn't credited on Blonde's 'I Loved You' at the time that was sent. That would explain the lack of mention in the 'Songs of' thread ~
