Watching her first PMQ's, she is a complete charisma vacuum. And of course seems unable to answer a question with anything relevant or remotely pertaining to it.
She will not go far at all. Like blacksquare said, Starmer could walk this next election by just sitting on his hands. |

Im just watching her vs Starmer and in comparison to her immediate predecessor, she is actually capable of answering a question that was posed, predominately. Johnson answered about 0.00000001% of questions and in the absolute majority of cases answered a question he wanted asked instead of just garbled some word vomit ok I actually howled at thisHollow representation really isn't something to celebrate. Suella Braverman is no doubt already drawing up absolutely abhorrent and racist plans as Home Secretary. Yes, thank you for the more eloquent wording!!! I wasn’t sure we could get worse than Patel but the depths of Tory depravity knows no bounds Someone more qualified than Jacob Rees-Mogg. |

Even Corbyn had to have some backtabbing neolib TURDS in his shadow cabinet to TRY and placate them (nut their entire ideology means they would never have been satisfied). I don't see how she lasts a year with this cabinet, with not a single Rishi supporter.

Not a fan of this social media image doing the rounds - Wilson, Churchill and Jenkins all were famously photoed with a cigar and Obama famously smoked like a trooper but it kind of made them look powerful leaders but Coffey is ridiculed. I get why but it doesn’t sit comfortably with me. |

Suella Braverman makes Priti Patel look like a staunch left wing communist by comparison... I'm already seeing people saying "at lease we have a woman PM, at least her cabinet is diverse" ok? It doesn't matter a jot what kind of person is in each post if they're still committing to the same things as the last 12 years of Tories, or worse.
If I didn't know better (ie she's too thick to do so), I'd think Liz deliberately made these truly awful choices to overshadow how horrific she will be as a leader |

I don't see how she lasts a year with this cabinet, with not a single Rishi supporter. The problem she has is she is banking on her cabinet NOT turning against her at any stage, which I feel is stupid. The Tory Party only began to support her when they saw the tide of Rishi faltering with the member base. |

Although I see the point re: her heatlh and the Cabinet post she does, ridiculing people for being overweight (or anything about their appearance) is a bit nasty overall. Plus tactically it's not great as it gives the Tories a bit of ammo as they can say the sneering left are bullying her. Women generally do get more stick for their appearance then men (although to be fair, Johnson was ridiculed). It's her policies and views that deserve criticism - lying day after day defending Johnson on media, her stone age views on gay marriage and her disdain for the poorest when she was DWP minister. |

Theres about a billion different reasons to attack the new health Secretary and exactly 0 of them have to do with her appearance. It is annoying for many reasons. Firstly this assumption that only thin = healthy is just counterfactual, secondly the aforementioned double standards that men can smoke cigars but a woman can’t, and thirdly that we are supposed to demonise someone for their personal leisure choices. We ain’t Tories. What the woman does in the confines of her home/leisure time is entirely up to her and entirely irrelevant to her job and her potential performance thereof.
What is wide open to attack is those elements of her home life that she brings to work and impact and inform her working decisions - such as her hiding behind her religious beliefs to try and mask her homophobic bigotry |

Yeh exactly what the two posters above said, I disagree with her ideology and views but don’t think she should be attacked for her appeaerence or treated differently because of her gender.
When they go low we go high…. |

Agreeing with all of the above — her appearance is irrelevant to her being a hateful bigot.

When they go low we go high…. I honestly thought it was only the cigar she was being ridiculed for going off your comments. It’s not a good look. Her weight and appearance doesn’t bother me in the slightest. |

One thing that seems to have been overlooked - after just a matter of weeks, we are now back to having a PM in whose lifetime England have won just one major football tournament. To put it another way, Truss is the first PM to have been born after England won the World Cup.

Wasn't David Cameron born after England won the World Cup? with all that has happened this year imagine if England were to win it again.

Whilst it’s nice that Truss has put someone who has actually worked in education in charge of education, it’s a real shame that it’s Jonathan Gullis.
