Charlie Puth) 'You Gotta Not' 'Down & Dirty' 'Power' 'Your Love' 'Nobody Like You' 'No More Sad Songs' 'Private Show' 'Nothing Else' 'Beep Beep' 'Freak' 'Touch (Acoustic)' Which track will win? 15. DOWN & DIRTY [Avg. 6.30]
So the first one is, 'Down & Dirty'. The main criticism it seems to get is that it's about 3 years too late, however, I can't help but think it's an absolute BANGER. I honestly think that if this was to be a single, it'd do extremely well for them and would get a couple new fans on board. I really don't think last place is deserved for this, but ehhhhh. What can ya do. HIGHLIGHT: "I don't ask the mirror, I know I'm the fairest. I'm bringing the fire, so call me Daenerys" Likers: XhannahlongX (9.5) Haters: MrLoverboy & Jimmy Jam (1.0) |

14. BEEP BEEP [Avg. 6.83]
Following 'Down & Dirty' is the first of 3 bonus tracks. 'Beep Beep' is a very cheeky and extremely playful, 50's esque pop song. You could literally imagine it in a musical like 'Grease' or 'Hairspray' or something (of course not lyrically). The noise effects are very apt and suit the tone of the song. As I said it's very playful, but I think it's my 2nd least favourite, so in the perfect position for me. THE GROANS from Leigh before the final chorus... OMW!! HIGHLIGHT: "I blew my engine, I think I popped the stick. Too busy dreaming, of jumping on your *horn*" Likers: UltraBasicWitch & Jimmy Jam (9.5) Haters: Joe., Cameron & HausofBallBalls (4.0) |

13. FREAK [Avg. 7.08]
'Freak' is the 2nd of 3 bonus tracks to fall out. Imo, it's the worst on the album. It's quite frustrating really coz there is a brilliant song amongst the messy production and the non-event of a chorus. The melody in the pre-chorus is lushhhh! Lyrically it's another risque and cheeky song for the girls. HIGHLIGHT: Likers: XhannahlongX (11.0) Haters: HausofBallBalls (3.0) |

Beep Beep deserves that last spot. But yea, Down N Dirty is definitely in the bottom 3, so this is okay so far.

#JusticeForDownNDirty I really don't get the mass hate for it </3 It's not that bad, the whole album is good. The thing is, people are sheep, they see 4 out of 5 comments from people saying they don't like it and they are more likely not to either, even before listening to it. |

Yikes at Down & Dirty being out already, it's not the best track but really not the worst either, Beep Beep is too high. Expecting and hoping You Gotta Not to be out next, followed by F.U.

Down & Dirty is absolutely awful. The production, the lyrics, everything about it is terrible. Even "Cannonball" wasn't as bad.

I don't think Down & Dirty is that bad, it's just very dated, as in very 5 years ago and I know they're better than that. It would have worked as a fun B side, not on the standard of a huge 4th album from a massive act.

12. NOBODY LIKE YOU [Avg. 7.82]
Up next is the big ballad moment of the album, 'Nobody Like You'. It reminds me of what you'd get if you was to mash up 'These Four Walls' with 'Good Enough'. So much power and raw emotion in the girls vocals in this. It's not their strongest ballad, vocally, but it's another faultless one. So beautifully heartbreaking. HIGHLIGHT: Their vocals! Likers: UltraBasicWitch, Matt1989, TaylorJago, Electro Paradise & Mike Sugafan (10.0) Haters: XhannahlongX (3.0) |

11. YOU GOTTA NOT [Avg. 7.83]
Just missing out on the top 10 is the Meghan Trainor penned, 'You Gotta Not'. It's typically Meghan production and lyrically, but it's so FUN. The quirky and cheeky lyrics are a highlight of what makes this song so infectious. It's got the girls personalities stamped all over it! It's very catchy and extremely infectious! HIGHLIGHT: Jesy's 2nd verse lyrics are Ivor Novello worthy "Is you afraid of Blue's Clues? (You Gotta Not) Do you still use a bluetooth? (You Gotta Not)", but my fave is definitely the key/tempo change after the first chorus and into Jade's 3rd verse! Likers: HausofBallBalls (10.0) Haters: Karl. (4.5) |

Beep Beep and Freak rightfully out and Down & Dirty which I think sounds even worse being so early in the album and thus surrounded by amazingness.
OMFG AT YOU GOTTA NOT BEING THAT LOW, BUZZJACK RATING LIKE THIS YOU GOTTA NOT :/ |

Something I wrote (with help of Jay on popjustice a month back):
I fell for the melodies and vocals in 'You Gotta Not' in the end, but Meghan's lyrics just kill the song for me. I know we live in a world where white males are the dominant force but singing about what it is to be a man is really irritating, and if the tables were turned a boyband wouldn't get away with it. Call your momma "mommy" Girl, you have a song called 'Dance Like Your Daddy', and created the abomination that is 'Mom', let's not go there. You ain't even workin', boy get a job Never keep your house clean What's the likelihood of a young man having his own house but no job? Hmmm. Oh, you don't like kids? What? And you still smoke cigs? (Ew) Poor Britney. Do you still use a bluetooth? Actually, "Apple Air-Drop" is very useful and is faster for sending images from phone to phone than wifi. Also. Bluetooth speakers. You love whitey-tightys We get it, you like masc4masc, who wear baggy boxers with no shape. I'll stick to my Calvins. 'Cause they only show off your muffin top Not Jesy singing this line when she's spoken out so much about online bullying because of her body image. But you kinda hot, so I thought, why not? After all that...Sis.... It just confuses me....lyrics aside, banger though. |
