Runner-up in this poll is the 2011 hit 'Got 2 Luv U' with Alexis Jordan. Seemingly came out of nowhere at the time to return Sean Paul to the charts and remains a popular club tune today. Notable fusion between Sean Paul's more traditional dancehall drawl and the euro-pop sound that was popular at the time. Very seductive chorus from Alexis Jordan and almost certainly the most enduring Sean Paul song since around 2006. Not my personal runner-up, but a worthy one nevertheless.

Which leaves the winner of the poll is the iconic 'Get Busy'. Using the popular Divalli Riddim that was everywhere during the summer of 2003, this is without doubt Sean Paul's signature hit. Must be a weird, but hypnotic song to listen to for the first time but there is something beguiling about 'Get Busy'. Has great longevity to this day and is held in the same regard as other urban classics from that year such as 'In da Club' and 'Ignition (Remix)'. A #1 in America, this was a #4 hit here and would have been one of the biggest sellers of the year but for a premature deletion. One of my favourite songs of all-time and I think the right song has won here.

Thank You to all that participated in the voting of this poll and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did running it. A pleasure. smile.gif

So many great tracks but I think that's the right winner, *the* iconic Sean Paul track.

Thanks for this, looking forward to the next R&B Forum Poll Series!

As much as I adore 'Got 2 Luv U', my iPod aside, I haven't heard it in years! Lots of Sean Paul's songs get the odd radio spin still and lots of club play so if consider them to be worthy of a place above it. tongue.gif ('Temperature', 'Breathe', 'Like Glue', 'She Doesn't Mind' etc.)

The right track definitely one, it's so iconic.
Can't believe 'Got 2 Luv U' got to number 2 ahead of so many other classics...but it's good to see the top 2 showcasing his career span 🙌🏼
