Just like the "Light Years" topic, this is another topic/poll on what your opinion's are on the Fever era single. It's just been revealed that there were 3 other potential choices on what the 4th single was gonna be?

Although this time I've decided to actually include 'Come Into My World', which was actually chosen & became a success, as well as being seen by many as the perfect choice (including myself).
As most people know that the title track was considered at one point, as well as 2 other tracks from the album, both of which are also highlights on this incredible album. My question is to put simply are you happy with 'CIMW' or would you voters on Buzzjack preferred one of the other 3 choices.

Come Into My World

This was the track that actually got chosen due to its popularity on the tour & got re-recorded for its single release. The Fisherspooner remix was originally intended to be released as the single mix, but was pulled at the last minute.

Fever

The album’s title track was set to be the fourth single from the album in Australia, with one-track promotional CDs made and sent to radio stations; however, plans for this were cancelled in favour "Come into My World", which was to be released as the fourth single in the rest of the world, due to its growing popularity on the tour.

Fragile

Considered for release as the 4th single from the album but lost out to ‘CIMW’

Your Love

Another choice that was in the running, before the final decision was made for you guessed it 'CIMW' got chosen.

Fragile is now my fave and your love least. I also love come into my world and fever and at the time really wanted fever as a single. I love fragile but dont think it would work at all as a single but all in all I think come into my world was the right choice in the end.

I adore 'Fragile' and 'Your Love', but they're absolutely NOT single material.

I think CIMW was absolutely the right choice, it was rare in that era to get a 4th top 10 single from a 1m+ selling album and something else could have easily missed (especially as that was a very busy week).

'Love Affair' should surely be considered ahead of 'Your Love' and 'Fragile' though? Especially as it's her most download album track.

Fragile.
Your Love.
The songs on offer here are full of strength showcasing Fever as a solid body of work.
Come Into My World was the correct 4th single option.

Fever

CIMY is easily my least favorite from the four, basically CGYOOMH 2.0, only nowhere near as good. The other 3 offer a different side to the album. Love Affair would've done well too

As a song i prefer fever and fragile (especially Fragile) to come into my world but cimw just seemed to have worked good as a single.

Glad to see that 'CIMW' has the most votes for best choice, because it really was the perfect final single from this era: ending 'Fever' with an almighty bang & not only does it go well with the other 3 iconic hits, but it keeps the flow very classy. Okay not so much in its original album form (which felt very demo-ish), coz it pretty much was as it was a last minute addition.
However in its re-recorded form, it really pops & plus at the time, the fans really wanted it.

As for the other 3 tracks, they're all great in their own ways: the title track is a firm highlight with it fun tongue in cheek lyrics& has a cool electro sound. This could have also worked if not 4th, then maybe as a possible 5th single, if they were to stretch this era out a little longer & could have easily been another top 10 hit for Kylie.

"Fragile" - I find that its interesting that this has the 2nd highest amount of votes in both polls. Love that lovely chilled out, dreamy vibe this number has. But wouldn't have this as a single contender, works better as a great album track.

"Your Love" - Now this is an interesting one, as you don't hear many fans talk about this track all that much, yet over the past year this has really grown on me with its cool laid back vibe in similar vein to "Fragile", yet without sounding the same, thanks to some fantastic acoustic guitars which adds more layers to this cool little number. But again wouldn't have this as a single choice. This again stands better as it was: a strong album track.

Fragile is the type of song that belongs as an album track only, great quality song that helps make an album great outside the singles,

Burning Up doesn't have the appeal needed for a single.
That said, back then Kylie was popular enough to bring a 5th single to a Top 20 placement.
