In just five years, Ariana Grande has gone from TV child star to purveyor of top notch pop. If her new single No Tears Left To Cry - a vibrant and defiant number helmed by hitmaker Max Martin - is anything to go by, she's about to step up into the big leagues with her fourth album.

Across all 18 of Ariana's Top 100 entries on the Official Singles Chart, she's notched up 8.6 million combined sales, including an eye-watering 550 million plays across streaming services. We've counted down her Top 10 below, based on Official Charts Company data.

6. Break Free
Chart peak: 16
Combined sales: 608,000

After channelling ‘90s R&B and 1960 girl groups on her debut album Yours Truly, Ariana went into full on pop banger mode for her 2014 follow-up My Everything. Break Free showcased the shift best; assisted by EDM whizz Zedd, it’s colourful, life-affirming and was easily her boldest release yet. What’s more, the quite frankly ridiculous Barbarella-inspired video proved she had personality.

4. Into You
Chart peak: 14
Combined sales: 876,000

The second single from Ariana’s Dangerous Woman album has taken on cult status with Ariana fans as the often forgotten gem in her crown after it ‘only’ reached Number 14 on the Official UK Singles Chart at 13 on America’s Billboard Hot 100. It’s a relentless, throbbing, immaculately produced Max Martin production that doesn’t let up for a full four minutes and four seconds. If time is not of the essence, check out the six essays (six!) written about it on Maxopedia – a fan site dedicated to all of Max’s work.

10. Santa Tell Me
Chart peak: 28
Combined sales: 227,000

Unless you’re Mariah Carey or Wham!, Christmas songs can take a while to truly bed in to the festive season. Last year, three years after its release, Ariana’s yuletide offering Santa Tell Me entered the Top 40 on the Official Singles Chart for the first time, proving that it’s still possible to have success with a seasonal track if you get the formula right.

1. One Last Time
Chart peak: 2
Combined sales: 1.2 million

A modest hit when it was released in 2015 as the fifth single from her My Everything album, One Last Time – a love song set at the end of the world - took on new meaning in the wake of the Manchester terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 22 people and injured over 500 at her arena concert. One Last Time was adopted by fans after the attack and climbed to Number 2 on the Official Singles Chart. It’s both her biggest selling (401,000 downloads) and most streamed (85 million plays), making it her biggest hit overall to date.

Ariana Grande’s Official Top 10 biggest singles:

01. 'One Last Time' {2} [1.2m]
02. 'Bang Bang' (with Jessie J & Nicki Minaj) {1}
03. 'Side To Side' (feat. Nicki Minaj) {4}
04. 'Into You' {14} [876k]
05. 'Problem' (feat. Iggy Azalea) {1}
06. 'Break Free' (feat. Zedd) {16} [608k]
07. 'Dangerous Woman' {17}
08. 'Love Me Harder' (feat. The Weeknd) {48}
09. 'Focus' {10}
10. 'Santa Tell Me' {28} [227k]

Did Break Free or Into You ever go top ten on sales only?
I remember Break Free being ineligible at first but it was definitely top ten on iTunes if I remember rightly.

Good sales though. Into You outselling Problem a UK #1!

'Break Free' had such a messy release iirc. I'm pretty sure it peaked really high on iTunes. Wasn't it some instant grat rule or something (like how Coldplay - Paradise wasn't allowed to chart for a while or something).

'Into You' had a sloppy release too. It seemed to be all over the place from what I can remember. Not as bad as BF but I think something was off with that one too.

Yeah, Break Free has about 3/4 of its highest selling weeks not counting to its overall sales.

I was sure the BPI included the ineligible weeks into a songs total when doing their certifications. Pretty sure that happened for this and for Gaga's Do What You Want. Looking at the total given for Break Free, it seems the OCC have included the ineligible sales, if that is what the BPI have done.

Can you just IMAGINE what would happen if we got another Ari x Weeknd collab? Not only would it be a certified bop like Love Me Harder was, but both are such huge names in music now too.. enough to topple Calvin & Dua in week one anyway

Thank you! wub.gif Based on that figure for No Tears Left to Cry it seems that the sales are from July.

Might be something to do with its chart-ineligible sales.
