 Good evening and welcome to the grand final of BJSC LIII live from the Batidome right here in Colpi Golpes, Batidas. This month’s contest had a remarkable turn out during confirmations with 54 nations entering their chosen tracks. Then with the semi finals there was a brutal whittling down that saw 24 countries exit the competition. Which brings us here tonight with the final 30 nations who are ready to do battle against each other in the hope of being victorious as the winner of BJSC LIII.  Unfortunately B.a.n.G, who had secured a place in the final, failed to submit their votes meaning their entry ‘Oh Sailor’ by Mr Little Jeans will suffer a 33% reduction from their final score. The question is how much will that affect the final scoreboard?  More importantly, who is going to WIN?  All will be revealed in 15 minutes when we start announcing the votes from the 53 countries who successfully submitted their votes. Before all that, please welcome to the stage tonight’s special guest. She’s back once again after her stunning performance at the semi finals, it’s Zara Larsson here to perform the track that provided Batidas with our win last month; ‘Uncover’. |

And indeed, all the hosting preps do indeed cost a lot of time. I remember doing all the results on the same evening as the voting was closed - and that was really hard, as I was prepping in rush the next result post when the previous one was just posted. When it all ended both of the times (after semi and after the final) I simply went to bed.

Good thing I don't write this as I go along otherwise we'd be here until 28th May waiting to find out who the winner is. Oh, and yes there are 53 votes. That was written last night at around 8:30pm and I'd forgotton to update it.

To be fair, out of the entire final, I'd be OK with anything except Eledan or Ramrynia winning, although there obviously certain songs I'd like to see at the top more than others (get that debut win #00274E).
