Say Something and Magic have both already charted in the UK Official top 100 earlier in the year but both songs have potentially a heavy promo week upcoming to coincide with the release of Disco

We already know both songs have limited vinyl releases on the 6th Nov which have already sold out. We could also see more remixes releases, remix bundles sold on both Itunes/Kylie store and both should benefit from heavier than normal streaming.

In terms of promo we already know there will be live versions sung on BBC Radio 2 on Friday morning and also Magic will be featured on Graham Norton Show on Friday Night. The Infinite Live Stream on Saturday and other promo throughout the week could benefit both songs. Can they out do their peak chart positions?

Current Peaks

Magic 75
Say Something 82

I think one track will sneak in and one will miss out on a Top 40 placing - I’m optimistic it will manage it due to the vinyl, remixes, streams and Apple support, although it could be totally wrong laugh.gif

I predict it’ll end up -

Magic #37
Say Something #46

Although I’d be happy for them both to return to the Top 100 tbh.

Magic Number 40.
Say Something Number 55.
I would be overly happy to see Say Something much higher.

I feel like going Top 40 is an incredibly tall order. The number of sales needed to place at #40 in October:

9,379 - 30/10
9,273 - 23/10
9,048 - 16/10
10,494 - 9/10
9,772 - 2/10

I'll happily be proven wrong though!

Bear in mind that Dancing sold 8,267 to reach #38. That was with 1,617 physicals, 3,655 downloads & 2,995 streaming sales. Last week (30th Oct), 8,267 would have resulted in #46.

~~~~~
#50 sales in October:
7,931 - 30/10
7,894 - 23/10
8,307 - 16/10
8,571 - 9/10
7,706 - 2/10
#75 sales in October:
5,597 - 30/10
5,713 - 23/10
5,386 - 16/10
6,387 - 9/10
5,524 - 2/10 (incidentally this was Kylie - Magic; luckily BMG didn't schedule this a week later because it would have only reached #87 with those sales!)
#100 sales in October:
4,593 - 30/10
4,703 - 23/10
4,593 - 16/10
4,483 - 2/10
4,842 - 9/10
Top 40 is a real tall order but if both are top 75 I think that's a great result.
True but she didn't perform Dancing on G Norton on week of release and also Magic is still A listed on Radio and streaming has also improved for Kylie and her team and being track 1 on album with maybe better streaming support? Plus fans are holding back from purchasing some of the remixes etc and we all know what it takes. BMG are reactive too so if they release a Digi bundle then who knows. She is going to get a good start on Friday morning with Zoe Ball and the videos being shown on BBC website. Let's see what happens. I hope both get new peaks would be nice
I hope Say Something 72 or 73, Magic a little bit higher, but I'm afraid it's just wishful thinking. I really want frist two Disco singles enter top 75.
i think it all depends on how much they push them.
will they release the 99p digi bundles like they did for Dancing? will they release these on Monday of Album release ?will they release any more remixes on Friday or will they not want to take away from the album? will they have more up their sleeve?
i think both may get a good start on Radio 2 and the BBC Live Sounds youtube clips. plus if Kylie fans download a few then they will be visibilty before her other promo kicks in.....
will they reduce the versions to 59p on Itunes?
There is so much they can do but will they bother.... lets see!!!!!
Magic:
Album versions
Single Version
Purple Disco remixes
Nick Reach Up remixes
At Home Sessions
Say Something:
Album versions
Acoustic version
Syn Cole Remixes
At Home Sessions
F9 remix coming?
Surely we all have 1 or 2 99p versions we could support again
we also have to deal with heavy streamers that will push the sales totals further up for trying to get a top 75, top 40 etc. Ariana for instance will take up 3 spots in the top 40 alone
The songs will need a push in all avenues to attract streams and sales well outside of the fanbase.
All remixes and versions of both songs should be available from Friday.
Nothing should be held back outside of next week for both tracks.
