Queen of Kooky Lady Gaga wears plunging gown to honour Carole King at music gala
QUIRKY pop star Lady Gaga made sure all eyes were on her last night as she attended the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala in Los Angeles. The 27-year old singer arrived on the red carpet at the Convention Center wearing a sexy white dress that showed off plenty of cleavage and her enviable figure. The elegant gown not only featured a short train and cape, but also included an elaborate jewelled waist belt and a knee-high split. Due to the length of the dress and the long sleeves, it was no surprise that Gaga chose to wear something that was slashed right down the front. Gaga accessorised the sexy number with a pair of silver metallic heels, white nails and kooky sunglasses as she posed for the cameras with her hand on her hip. Lady Gaga and Gloria Stefan. Her platinum blonde bob appeared to be a wig but looked just right with the white gown. The 'Born This Way' singer was at the gala to honour US singer/songwriter Carole King - who had her first number one hit as a songwriter at the age of 18. The 71-year old star looked chuffed to have been recognised as MusiCares Person of the Year, and brought her two daughters along to share the ocassion with her. Other stars who turned out to support Carole and acknowledge her career included Yoko Ono, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne and Hollywood actor Tom Hanks. Gaga was one of the guests who took to the stage to perform, and even thanked King for getting her through some difficult times before she found fame as a songwriter herself. She told the crowd she used to lock herself in her father's man room as a high school student and listen to Carole's hit 'You've Got a Friend' over and over. "And I would crank up this song so loud, and I really believed so much, Carole, that you were my friend. So thank you so much for the way you sing right to us in your music," she said as she sat at the piano. Toward the end of the song, Gaga customised the lyrics, and sang: "You've got a friend, yes you do, Carole, I love you." Source: http://www.express.co.uk/news/showbiz/4559...g-at-music-gala |
