Avicii's family have agreed to release his third album later this year, it is reported. Glad to hear this news, I very much look forward to hearing it. EDIT: "just rumours" for now. I expect if it's to come out it won't be in 2018. |

I’m excited for this but I’m afraid if the music (somehow) doesn’t reach expectations it could tarnish his legacy a bit. Bad choice of words but I hope it is all finished products |

In a statement, Diana Baron, who represented Avicii — whose real name was Tim Bergling — said that reports had come about due to a mistranslation by English-language outlets of a Swedish news report by Aftonbladet. "Tim had been working on new material and had posted 9ishphotos and Instagram stories about his sessions this year," she said. "As of this moment, these stories about a scheduled release are just rumours coming from hopeful fans who loved Tim and his music." According to Billboard, some of this confusion may have also arisen due to an interview that Neil Jacobson, Avicii's A&R at Geffen Records, gave to Variety in which he said that the album that the late-producer and DJ was working on before his untimely death was "his best music in years". Avicii passed away on 20 April. His body was found in a hotel room in Oman. He was 28 years old. In a statement to Billboard, his family announced that his funeral would be private. During his life, Avicii scored twelve UK Top 40s on the Official Singles Chart, picking up his first Official Singles Chart Number 1 I Could Be The One (with Nicky Romero) in February 2013, before embarking on his hugely successful album campaign for True, which reached Number 2 on the Official Albums Chart in November 2013. The album spawned the Number 1 million-selling single Wake Me Up, and the Top 5 hits Hey Brother and You Make Me. After taking a break from touring and recording music, Avicii released the Avici EP in late 2017. The final single in his lifetime was Lonely Together ft. Rita Ora, which reached Number 4. |

I am sure we will get some form of release. Avicii had worked on new material before his sad passing so i am sure it will get the light of day at some point.
