BuzzJack Music Forum _ Lady Gaga _ Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - I'll Never Love Again

Posted by: HausofTove 3rd October 2018, 09:00 PM

Confirmed as the official first single to be taken off the 'A Star is Born' soundtrack.

Coming Friday. I hear it's THE ONE.

Posted by: Liаm 3rd October 2018, 09:04 PM

1000% this is the one, idk if it's a chart hit but regardless of that, it feels like a huge timeless classic and one of those she'll remembered for in decades to come. Particularly in the context of the film it is just SO striking, even moreso than Shallow. I obv won't give away the plot but the film wouldn't pack the same emotional punch without this song, without dispelling the rest of the plots and songs, it really anchors it all and if one song summed up the feel of the whole film, it's this.

Posted by: HausofTove 3rd October 2018, 10:07 PM

^ omg can't wait !!

Officially impacting radio October 5th. It's coming ~

Posted by: Jordan Lee 3rd October 2018, 10:37 PM

Amazing news! It IS not just the song of the film but id go as far as to say it’s one of the best songs she’s ever recorded. It’s THAT ballad. It fits in the film so perfectly as well and it will honestly give you chills upon hearing it. Her voice is incredible on it too and it’s definitely the track what will help sell the album too.

YASSSSS. Liam and Jordan summed it up perfectly, I'm still shaking at this.

Posted by: Jase 🎃 3rd October 2018, 11:29 PM

CHILLS with some of these comments about how good it is.

Posted by: Liаm 4th October 2018, 12:17 PM

THE EXTENDED STUDIO VERSION ON THE SOUNDTRACK OH MY GOD

Posted by: Jordan Lee 4th October 2018, 01:50 PM

If this is a single will it get a video like Shallow did too as well as radio too. Imagine her getting two hits at the same time it’ll feel like 2009-2011 all over again biggrin.gif wub.gif

Posted by: SKOB 5th October 2018, 07:07 AM

I'm not sold on this before seeing the film, it's resembles too much of Whitney Houston's signature ballads. I prefer Always Remember Us This Way and Shallow for now.

Posted by: danG 5th October 2018, 10:53 AM

this is lovely (and I'm also enjoying 'Shallow', not heard anything else yet); glad they've put the extended version out too, as the film version seems to end rather abruptly.

I didn't expect much from this soundtrack, but Gaga's voice really sells at least these 2 songs.

Posted by: ¡Michael Myers! 5th October 2018, 11:52 AM

With how much work must have gone into the soundtrack alone, plus the acting lessons plus the movie, plus the promo... her next pop album must be a looong way off. I bet Check2Check comes next too

Posted by: SKOB 5th October 2018, 12:20 PM

These songs were written 2 years ago...

Posted by: ¡Michael Myers! 5th October 2018, 12:36 PM

Recording them, practising them...

This is #64 in the midweeks and is credited to both Gaga and Bradley, despite the solo version far outselling the duet on iTunes all week. I'm not sure whether it'll make the Official Chart anyway but it's still great that it's making an impression anyway.

Was unheard of before Kate Winslet and Brittany Murphy

#54 on Apple Music UK.

Hope this grows on Spotify. If it ever got a TV performance I think it would be huge though a Someone Like You moment.

Video coming today!

Posted by: Spiceboy 21st October 2018, 12:10 PM

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper need to perform this somewhere! It just needs one performance on some big show and then it's gonna explode even more so than Shallow!

anyone else as in love with this song as me?

Posted by: Mack. 11th November 2018, 04:37 PM

Could well do reach a new peak on Friday.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 30th March 2019, 10:09 PM

This was performed on tonight’s The Voice UK.

So may well see a rise on iTunes later tonight - tomorrow as was well received.

Still a beautiful song and a beautiful closer to the film.

I hope to hear Gaga one day sing this on a tour.

Posted by: SKOB 31st March 2019, 06:58 AM

I kinda wished that ARUTW would've got that extra boost as it's better and more accessible song imo but good nevertheless.

Posted by: HausofTove 31st March 2019, 10:34 AM

Back into the top 40 on iTunes!

The performance:

Molly won The Voice UK.

And I’ll Never Love Again is her debut single.

She performed the track again tonight so should see another boost for Gagas original version. heart.gif

I’m surprised she’s been allowed to record it as her debut single, when it was only released by Gaga less than 6 months ago?

Posted by: BigMixer 7th April 2019, 11:12 AM

I assume Molly will promote it again, since it's her debut single? INLA coming for that Gold certification cheer.gif

Posted by: HausofTove 7th April 2019, 01:17 PM

Back in the top 20 on iTunes biggrin.gif

Posted by: Nick Jonas 20th April 2019, 08:15 PM

Performed on BGT so expect another rise!

Posted by: Spiceboy 20th April 2019, 09:37 PM

Good it deserves to be a huge hit, should have gone top 10! ARUTW is my utter fave from the film though that should have got all the attention Shallow got.

Posted by: BigMixer 21st April 2019, 12:57 PM

Nice, BGT gave it a bigger boost that The Voice winner

Posted by: HausofTove 27th May 2019, 05:40 PM

This is being released as the 3rd official single in France! Probably just there, but a worldwide release would be amazing.

Jai McDowell performed this on Britain's Got Talent last night!

It's back in the top 40 of UK iTunes cheer.gif

Posted by: SKOB 9th September 2019, 04:51 AM

Wish someone would sing ARUTW or Shallow instead!

Posted by: Jordan Lee 20th November 2019, 02:04 PM

Best Song Written For Visual Media Grammy nomination for this.

Really hope it can win but feel Beyoncé is strong competition

Posted by: Jordan Lee 27th January 2020, 04:07 PM

Well she won the GRAMMY for this!

(Also this is her 5th song to win a GRAMMY after, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Joanne & Shallow).

A well deserved win.

Smash hit!

Amazing! Still wish it received full single treatment cry.gif

Posted by: Santa Haus 19th December 2020, 08:24 PM

Interestingly this has more youtube views than Always Remember Us This Way, which actually was pushed as a single in some places!

Posted by: Sour Candy 19th December 2020, 08:27 PM

This did better in the US I believe?

Posted by: Sour Candy 19th December 2020, 08:28 PM
