Calvin has teased that a new song from him (labeled as 'Part 3' after "Slide" and "Heatstroke") is coming soon on his Snapchat story.

Although more Calvin is always a good thing, I hope he doesn't release this too soon, he's never going to make as much of a chart impact with the singles and radio aren't gonna be able to keep up.

He needs something a lot more upbeat and catchy than his last two songs which are the worst of his entire career so far.

Less than 2 weeks after he released Heawave ohmy.gif

I predict another one word single, and by the end of the year all of the words form a sentance. #mindblown

Does anybody still care? He should focus on producing something real hot again.

Agreed.

If he keeps going down the abhorrent Slide/Heatstroke route, he can keep whatever he has.

Even though I didn't really like Heatstroke, I definitely care. Slide was brilliant and with better features he can make FIRE.

EDIT - I feel as though this next single will be slightly more pop-orientated. Probably still be R&B overall but less left of centre than Heatstroke and Slide.

He's just so unpredictable these days I love it, what's coming next? I assume since there's 10 songs this year that he'll be releasing one a month from February to November which just opens up so many possible collabs.

Can't deny that Heastroke would have been better without Pharrel and his cheesy lines though.

with these 2 recent singles, he's too influenced by the featured artists, he should be in command not the other way around, you cannot lose all your personality cos you collaborate with someone

Jeez he's just experimenting with a different sound, there's nothing wrong with that. "Slide" was fab and I'm glad he released it, "Heatstroke" was lame so here's hoping whatever is next will be more on "Slide" quality level.

This Calvin is better and far more interesting than anything he's done in years, he should keep at it.

You have Chainsmokers for the basic bops right now if you're so desperate~

I was basically ready to give up on Calvin after the dreadful 'My Way' but both Slide and Heatstroke are fantastic, the former in particular. I'm glad he changed it up, its made for a MUCH more interesting sound and has me hyped for whatever else he has to release this year.

I'd quite like to see him collaborate with a rock/alternative artist, it would be interesting to hear how his sounds would change with that.
