Bit early as the series doesn't usually start until July/August, but rumours are that the panel is undergoing a serious revamp - apparently it's Jess Origliasso from The Veronicas and Matt Corby as new judges and Guy Sebastian returning after two years away. Dannii is the only judge staying.
Gutted to lose Nat if this is all true, but she has replaced Natalia Kills on NZ X Factor so maybe she'll come back next year (not that they clash but perhaps she doesn't want to do both in one year). I loved Guy at the time, and Matt's music is great. Not sure what Jess will be like, but again her music is fab. I'd rather they got another Jessica (of the Mauboy variety) but we shall see. I always LOVE the Aussie series anyway, they've had amazing winners since 2011 and the talent level is always so high. |

I would imagine that Nat would be happy to do both. Not as if she's doing anything else. (Much to my annoyance as I'm desperate for a 1000 stars followup)
Dunno who Matt Corby is tho. Would Guy Sebastian have time to return tho? Surely the Judges auditions would be around May/June time which is when he's likely to be ESC'd up. |

Judges' auditions are normally April but I assume bootcamp is May and obviously Guy would be tied up you're right. .. it's only rumours ATM, but maybe they'd have guest judges to fill in for Guy like when Dannii was preggers for XF UK? I hope the rumours are wrong, new lineup is solid but I'd really miss Nat and you're right, she's not got anything better to do
I think Jess, Nat, Matt and Ronan/Foo would be a solid lineup but I'd still rather Mauboy than Origliasso Jess Mauboy is rumoured most years tho Matt Corby was 2nd on Idol in 2007 btw His music is indie singer songwriter ish, like Jess he's been much more successful than the winner - who still hasn't released anything properly since her winning single!! |

I'm torn. As much as I worship at the alter of the Mauboy, i wouldn't be opposed to Origliasso. She's a Brisbanite and I'm automatically biased in favour of anything SEQLD adjacent.
Boot camp could possibly be held before he needs to go to ESC but it just seems more likely that he'd focus his energies on that. |

Yes both would be fab, I guess if Jess is gonna work on a new album and put her all into that instead, I can let her off

Nat Bass can only leave if it means we get a new album from her.

Dannii has confirmed she's definitely back, it's looking increasingly like fresh faces for the other three though! Apparently they want international stars, but I hope they stick to some local talent. Jess Mauboy as I've said, but the rumours for Jess Origliasso and Matt Corby are good too. All my other Aussie faves are too irrelevant. If they're going for international stars, I hope they can stump up cash for like Katy Perry or Pink or someone quite impressive (but not too out of their league like RiRi or Bey), not just RedFoo II
Seems like a later launch this year too Usually we know the judges by now because auditions are being held about now, which is why I definitely think Guy will be back. Perhaps they're holding off for a month or so until he's clear of ESC commitments? But what if he wins and has promo stuff for another few weeks, it'll be delayed even further |

It's been getting earlier for a few years, Samantha Jade won at the end of November, Dami Im won at the end of October, Marlisa won a week earlier in October than Dami, so they are maybe pushing it back to end at the end of November.
I hope Natalie Bassingthwaighte returns as a judge. |

Not a surprise given all the rumours! Gutted Nat isn't back and I liked Ronan but Redfoo was a bit of a shit judge.

Panel confirmed and it's absolute shit.
Chris Isaak and JAMES f***ING BLUNT join, and Guy returns to join Dannii. I can't And they were going on about "international stars"!!!!! I liked Guy so yay, hopefully Dannii is happier than last year and back to her peak (like in 2013 and her UK stint) or this series will be a serious comedown from the last few.... I guess the judges don't matter THAT much but still. |

Not really He's had a few WW hits like 20 years ago, and a few ok selling albums since. Not of the calibre they hyped up!
Idk who I expected really but Chris Isaak just feels a bit flat. |

Dannii seems much better this time around already, I'm only on episode 2. Good god Chris is boring though! James is more amusing than I expected, he's not bad actually.

No words, that audition is genuinely one of the absolute best I have ever seen! I was utterly entranced and captivated for the whole thing. |
