Would a famous singer dying affect the streaming chart more than the download chart, I wonder? If it did have more of an affect on streaming, and therefore a resultant lesser effect on downloads, then that in turn would presumably give an overall lesser effect on the main combined chart, since streaming counts less than downloads do. So if Madonna does want her eventual death to lead to a domination of the Top 40 she needs to wait until streaming has taken over to the extent that it is almost synonymous with the combined chart. |
