'Clearest Blue' is ace! Quite possibly my favourite from this era so far (out of the 3 I've heard anyway).

The whole thing is streaming online
A bit more consistent for me than the first album which really trailed off towards the end. |

Strong indeed. 'Empty Threat' and 'Playing Dead' sound like top-drawer electropop from first listen and pretty much all of it is enjoyable. Coming round to 'Clearest Blue' a bit more now too.

Wow, I genuinely didn't think The Bones Of What You Believe could be topped but this album is amazing. The three singles are the obvious standouts so far, but I'm really liking 'Empty Threat', 'Playing Dead', 'Bury It' and Iain's vocals on 'High Enough To Carry You Over'.

That is thoroughly excellent! I'd love a studio recording of it.

A little disappointed with this after one listen, overall it's just not as exciting as the first album, maybe because they're not new anymore so it all sounds a bit samey or maybe because a few of the songs seem a bit more darkly produced but it's just not hyping me and making me want to go back yet whereas I had the first album playing everyday for weeks. At least we've got Leave a Trace from this era, gotta be up there with their best singles.

I've also come to the conclusion that Clearest Blue is the best thing they've done. I just wish the spazzy second half was about 5 minutes longer.

I'm actually really, really enjoying this. I loved their first, and Leave A Trace so I'm not sure why I'm so shocked. The run of the first five tracks is brilliant. As are the last 5 tracks. And High Enough To Carry You Over. Okay, it's all great stuff.

It's a fantastic album. I would even say it's their best album, for me. Every track feels just as special as the last!

Been playing this album a lot over the last week. "Leave A Trace" should have been at least a top ten hit single for them, it's slightly annoying they're not more successful.

The signs are pointing towards Empty Threat being the next single as it's been added to Radio X's playlist this week.

Song still sounding as flawless as ever, great to see it get a video. Think it MIGHT be my favourite of theirs now.

What a wonderful video.
It breaks my heart that these can't seem to catch a big break though! |

Dec the commercial highlight of the album - at least radio 1 will give them support with it!
