As some members will know, my mother is living with Alzheimer's. One of the things she is still able to do (as that part of the brain still seems to be functioning reasonably well) is play Scrabble. In a normal world, I would go and visit her regularly and play Scrabble but that, of course, is not possible at the moment. Does anyone know a decent online version that I can use (alongside Zoom) to set up games with her?

So I think Hasbro own the rights to the word Scrabble and the 'official' game is on the Apple/Google store.
The best way is probably to use of the third party versions which looks, feel and act in the same way they are just not called Scrabble! https://www.pogo.com/free-online-games/board is probably the best bet. I think there is a good one on Facebook too but for ease this one would probably suit your needs. |

Yes. Hasbro do seem to be very protective of their brand name.

good luck with that Simon, I hope you get one that works, it's a lovely thought to keep her engaged with.
this app seems to be similar but not quite the same.. https://www.zynga.com/games/words-with-friends-2/ not sure if it's free though. |
